I need an instruction manual for a Canon sure shot a1 panorama date camera

Ordinarily the panorama feature is utilized like this: you choose a panorama subject, and move your camera on a straight horizontal line with keeping your shutter down, and trying to capture the whole scenes into the lens. You can also stitch several common photos into one panorama picture(in vertical, horizontal, tile, 360 degree, 3d) with some programs like ArcSoft Panorama Maker.

This evening I bought a new HP Photosmart C4780 printer. I am trying to print photos now and the photos are being printed with small vertical lines across the whole photo. How do I get rid of them?

> I bought a new printer

Take it back, and get one that does work correctly.

> VERTICAL lines ACROSS the whole photo

Hold the paper in "portrait" mode, not "landscape" mode.
Are the lines HORIZONTALLY-ACROSS the paper,
or VERTICALLY-DOWN the paper?

If those lines are WHITE and HORIZONTAL,
then some of the many ink-jets inside the print-head are *CLOGGED*.
Run a "print-head-cleaning-cycle" to try to unclog it.
Or, exercise the WARRANTY, and get it replaced.

Lines appear on photo's.

Hey Tia Cindy,
If the lines are vertical that is often a result of taking pictures of very bright subjects. This is aberration is called vertical streaking. If the lines are horizontal lines there is probably something wrong with your sensor and you should have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician such as bringing it to a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy™ store, and they will send it out to have it looked at. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Strange silhouetting and a vertical strip

If A vertical strip appears on the screen when recording a dark background or the subject is blooming or silhouetting, you need to adjust the BLC. * The contrast between the subject and the background is too great for the camcorder to operate normally. * Make the background brighter to reduce the contrast or use the BLC function while you are recording in a brighter environment. BLC (Back light Compensation) * BLC works in CAMERA/M.REC mode.B * Back lighting exists when the subject is darker than the background: 1. The subject is in front of a window. 2. The person to be recorded is wearing white or shiny clothes and is placed against a bright background; the person?s face is too dark to distinguish his/her features. 3. The subject is outdoors and the background is overcast. 4. The light sources are too bright. 5. The subject is against a snowy background. 1. Set the power switch to CAMERA mode. 2. Press the BLC button. Normal - BLC - Normal BLC enhances the subject. Notes: * When NITE PIX to set to ON, the BLC function does not work. * The BLC function will not operate in EASY mode.

Vertical lines and purple artifacts when the camera is aimed at bright subjects

Current LCD display technology can reproduce about 300 different levels of brightness. Brightly lit scenes or light sources may exceed this brightness range, causing a temporary disruption (artifacts) in the live display. Artifacts are part of the display, but they are not part of your recorded image. If you take a picture while you see artifacts on the screen and then display the picture on the LCD, you will no longer see the artifacts.
