I am looking for a bobbin stopper part 4311045-01. For a Viking 2718. Do you know where I can get one? Thank you

You can buy universal bobbin stoppers on ebay or at some sewing fabric shops. I temporarily use a rubber band. :-)

On kenmore 385.18221 sewing machine the bobbin winder stopper nut fell off. Now thread winds unevenly on bobbin. Can I take top off machine and replace the nut?

yes that should be an easy fix for you to do. Just make sure you remember which screws came off of where and that all of them get back in the same places. no "extras" good luck

How can I repair the top thread from tangling in the bobbin stopper for the Husqvarna Viking Emerald 118?

Thread nesting in bottom usually means that top thread is either not threaded correctly or top tension dials has lint caught in it. Use canned air to blow it out. Also change needle.

My bobbin keeps popping out. There is a small hole under the bobbin casing. I pulled what appeared to be a wick out of there. It was frayed on the end and I thought it was part of my tension problem. Is...

Hi, the wick will not interfere with your tension, it is there to oil the hook shaft.

If you e-mail me at [email protected] i will send you the instructions and pictures on the bobbin case settings. Take special note of the retaining bracket, plate spring position and the Reverse rotation stopper. It sometimes happens that the reverse rotation stopper bends upwards, allowing the bobbin case to move underneath it. Press it slightly down to prevent this.

The bobbin case turns when i sew

This little "notch" is a stopper and there needs to be a little play so the bobbin case can move approx 2-3mm and allow the thread to pass through. Adjust the spring stopper on the main body just a very little to give it some play and try again....if this was adjusted at dervice, it is not good !

Hand Wheel Won't Turn

The "Bobbin stopper" is in the incorrect position. It moves from side to side in a switch like motion. In one direction, it locks up the machine. That is, you can turn the wheele backwards, but not forward.. The bobbin stopper can be found in the book that cam with the machine. In our book, it is item #9.

Bernina 180 Bobbin case spinning

Its called the bobbin stopper. Pop off your needle plate by pressing on the marked corner. In the back on the left you will see a small allen screw which must have come loose. Position the bobbin stopper in place and tighten that screw. If it already is tight, loosen it and reposition the bobbin stopper in the notch and tighten it back up.
Good luck.

Need Help putting the bobbin case back in the futura ce 100?????

With the needleplate removed, locate the black plastic bobbin case in horizontal and level position with the "bull horn" facing the rear, so the needle has space to move....

Gently place finger on top edge and move bobbin case, there ought to be a small amount of movement (1 or 2 mm slack) to allow passage of thread past the stopper spring (at front right)
If there is no slack at this position, have you adjusted anything to "tighten it up a bit", if so, relax the stopper spring by an "almost nothing" amount (again, 1 - 2 mm) to allow the thread to form the stitch.

....if you have had some needle strikes and damaged the surface, fine emery paper may be used to smooth the damage, if significantly scored, replace the bobbin case.
