if the water doesnt circulate, there could be many causes. start at the very beginning. does the pump sound 'normal'? if there is rattling or buzzing, the pump might not be turning and there fore no circulation. is there water in the system? even though most pumps are 'self priming', you should fill the hopper with water to prime it. are the lines open? make sure the supply to pump from skimmer is free of blockage and that the return lines to pool are open and free from blockage. if all this looks fine, then you have to get deeper into diagnosis.
Your pump pushes "Unfiltered" water thru the Filter. Your filter then "Cleans / Filters" all of the microscopic particles of dirt out of the water. This will eventually clog your filter as the pressure will then obviously climb. Basically, doing the job it was intended to do! As this occurs the water flow will be reduced and at times, dramatically! The fix: clean the cartridges, backwash your sand or D.E. Filter.
Another possibility is the flow is restricted due to another type of clog: Plugged pump impeller, clogged & dirty skimmer or pump baskets, etc.
if you are sure water is circulating (check to see if water is being sucked into the skimmer suction port or you can open your air relief valve on top of your filter and water squirts out,) then you will know that all works, but if pressure gauge is "0", then replace your pressure gauge.
make sure the pump has been primed, all the valves are open and in the correct position, no obstruction in the skimmer.
if the pump is working but water still not circulating, the impeller may be clogged with debris. you will need to split the pump and use a shop vac to remove the crud in impeller fins.
It comes with a strap which goes over the top of the wall and the skimmer is adjusted so the water will flow into it sucking the leaves into it. The leaves are trapped in the basket while the water is circulated through the pump and back to the pool.
The dr error code is for "dry". Meaning that the control system is not sensing that water is flowing through the heating element.
With a new spa, and you just having drained it , it is probably an air locked pump.
What this means is that you have a small constant circulation pump with not much power, that got ait trapped in it when you drained. When you went to start back up, this "air lock" prevented the pump from fully priming.
Power down the spa at the breaker. Remove the filter element.Stick a garden hose with lots of pressure into the skimmer hole and open the hose valve to let water inject into the skimmer.
Restore power to the spa and check operation.
If after attempting this a few times you still get the code, there is an issue with your flowswitch, or with your circulation pump.
With a brand new spa, id like to hope that you just have an air lock.
You may want to open the filter and break down your pump. Rinse the filter in a bucket and add just a part of the stablizer till it melts then add more. A long process but that may be the only way to get the stablizer into the water.
