First and foremost shut down the device. Remove the battery if possible for 1 minute. Then restart/power up device. If still no luck or response. Go into the setting and look for the reset to default setting if there is no option for touch screen controls. Best of luck

Sony DCR-HC40E touchscreen unresponsive

I think that the screen has stopped working and the screen does not work anymore to allow it to be touched and work.I have the same problem on my I pad and the screen needed to be replaced and it worked again. You could buy another one or have it be fixed.

Unresponsive touchscreen

You could try updating the phone firmware. If it is already up to date, try to re install the same firmware and see whether the problem gets fixed.

If not ; you may need to replace the touch screen/digitizer of your phone with a working one

Touch screen is defective. seems to have dimple under the face and when you push is indents, but not responsive

If there is physical damage to the touchscreen, then it can become unresponsive and will need to be replaced. The touchscreen is bonded to the glass (they are one piece), so both the touchscreen & glass will need to be replaced, even though the glass may not be cracked. Please see this link for more information and how to have the touchscreen replaced for you.

Garmin 2595 Touchscreen does not work properly, it's shutting down by itself. I made calibrate, reset, and touchscreen diagnose, nothing helps

If you have tried to recalibrate it and it still is unresponsive, then the touchscreen needs to be replaced. More info on touchscreen replacement can be found here:

None of the solutions for the touch screen on my garmin 670 have worked so far. The touchscreen is completely unresponsive. Any ideas?

Yes, please see this link on our website for further info on this problem. Your touchscreen is defective and needs to be replaced. There is a common problem with a certain style of touchscreen used in these units.
