SOURCE: Power cord and battery's support NO power to Video Camera

This incident happens often and damages the camcorder's power board. Replacing power board and some adjustment should resolved the problem. Your cost may run from $175-$225 in US for this model. Whenever you are transfering and connecting to pc, it is recommended to connect AC adapter power for this. Do not rely on a charged battery. Good luck.

SOURCE: the power on my laptop won't stay on

The jack or AC power pin can be fixed yourself if you're up to it. The part is usually under $10. I've done three (2 Fujitsu' and a Sony. Take your time when you take it apart and take pictures of the disassembly. They will com in very handy when you start to put it all back together again. When you get it fixed invest in a proper cable retention device so the AC power pin doesn't get damaged again. This short Chris Pirillo Video talks about CRDs on laptops.

SOURCE: Elmo TT-02u, Random freezes

The problem is a set bad capacitor that must be replaced by the factory. The units are very critical on the exact amperage that the power supply delivers. We have hundreds of tto2 and a few have had this problem. Elmo is aware of the problem and your warranty should cover the problem.

When I turn on my Sony TV, ti stays on about 30 seconds then shuts off, What do you think is wrong?

Do a Power Reset.
1. Turn off TV.
2. Unplug the power cord of the TV from the electrical outlet.
3. Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds.
4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. (If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.)
5. Turn on the TV.
If issue persists after doing the steps, reset the TV to factory default settings.
1. Turn on the TV.
2. Using the supplied remote, press and hold the UP arrow button.
3. While holding the UP arrow button press the POWER button on the TV itself.
4. When the TV goes off, release the POWER and UP arrow button.
5. The TV will turn on by itself and the initial setup screen will be displayed. Just follow the on-screen prompts to finish the setup.

Acer Aspire 5536 only gives black screen when i connect power supply

  • Nothing is more annoying than a monitor that refuses to turn on. Make sure your Acer monitor is plugged in to a functioning outlet. If it's plugged into a power strip, try replacing it with a new one or moving the plug to a different outlet. Ensure that both ends of the power cable are plugged in firmly and securely, and that the connection to the monitor is not loose.
Cable Issues
  • Your Acer LCD monitor will usually accept DVI and VGA inputs. If you have an older computer, a VGA cable should work fine. If it doesn't have a VGA port, you'll need to obtain an inexpensive DVI to VGA adapter at your local computer store. A DVI cable, however, is compatible with most modern computers and offers superior picture quality over VGA. Make sure you're using the cable that's compatible with your system, and that you have the proper conversion adapter, if necessary.

Power plug on chair losing power

The problem may be that the power cord's internals were broken by keeping the wire plugged into the chair at a bad angle That damaged the connection. If this is the case, you may need to purchase a new power cord.

Try shopping online for a replacement or calling the manufacturer.

My laptop shuts off after i turn it on.why

Does your laptop even begin the boot process where it displays stuff on the screen? Do you hear fans running, disk drives running, see lights, hear the cd drive click once and notice a light that comes on the cd drive door briefly when you press the power button? If not you computer either has a bad power cord, a bad dc power jack where the power cord plugs in, a bad mother board or static build up. 1) lets eliminate static buildup by removing the power cord and the battery then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then replace the power cord but not the battery and hit the power button. If it boots up you had static build up. 2) Take an ink pen and put in in the slot where the power cord plugs into the laptop, if it wiggles loosely then your dc power jack which is soldered onto the motherboard needs to be replaced. 3) If the power jack is tight and when you plug in the power cord if you don't see any lights or hear a fan, disc, cd drive, then you can almost bet your power cord is bad. 4) If the power cord is ok then you have a mother board issue. Normally motherboards will give some beeps or constantly blinking lights when you plug in the power cord and try to boot up. These beeps or blinking lights will tell the technician what is wrong with your computer.
