Step 2:
Click theAdministrationtab then click on theFactory Defaultssub-tab.

Under theFactory Defaultssection, click on theRestore Factory Defaultsbutton.

NOTE: The Power LED of the router will keep on blinking for a few seconds after resetting as it is still trying to stabilize. However, if the Power light still isn't solid after a minute, powercycle the router. For further steps on how to resolve this issue, clickhere.

Step 2:
Click theAdministrationtab.
NOTE: The image may vary depending on the model number of the Linksys router.
Step 3:
Under theManagementsection, enter the new password in theRouter PasswordandRe-Enter to Confirmfields.
NOTE: You may use a combination of letters and numbers for your router password. Make sure that you take note of your router password so that you may have a back-up in case you forget it.
Step 4:
ClickSave Settings.
IMPORTANT: All the computers that are connected to the network will be using the new password when logging in to the router's web-based setup page.
The router's administrator User name and Password are different from the wireless network name (SSID) and passphrase of yourwireless network. If you want to know how to check the security settings of your network, clickhere.
