Probably the plug on the navman has suffered what we call dry solder joints from inserting and pulling out the charger you need a tech to fix it. soldering is nesessary shouldnt be too expensive I fixed mine its about half an hours work if not too damaged inside

When i turn my satnav on open page comes on and then it showes a picture of satnav charging from a laptop and will not go to anything else can u help me please thanks graham

Hi Graham,I had exactly the same problem with my Nav Man S50. After the icon of the lap top my screen went blank. I updated it via the soft ware provided but no updates were available. In fact the problem turned out to be the on/off switch. Although it was glowing red it was not charging. I simply placed a pen into the switch and it worked.
Hope this will help.

I have a nav man f100t and it haz frozen with a girl in a car picture on the screen ,i cant turn if off,it just stays on the picture and only switches off if you flich the switch to reset.but it doesnt...

The only other option is to dis-connect B+ power to the GPS system for 60 seconds in hopes it will reset the processor, before you hook the power back up press and hold the reset button for at least 60 seconds to bleed off any residual charge, If all this fails you should consider a replacement unit.

Trying to wire nav man gps imput into a 585fcv furuno echo sounder,i no the white wire of the nav man nmea output ,but what coulour wire is the imput for the 585,white and blue.but which one is the signal...

white and blue is correct, white is signal, but be aware that manufacturers screw this up all the time, so try it both ways, and look for pulsing data on digital meter measuring 12V, should see meter jump rhythmically, from 0 to 4-12V. Confirm presence of data to maintain sanity

Nav man

Break in the cable - If you able to, try to locate the break and repair. you'll probably find it's at the usb plug end. Maybe easier just to replace it.
