Well I asked around and found about 0.020 or in better terms of understanding is about 20 thousand's of a inch.

When setting points on a CA Allis Chalmers Tractor. What should the gap be and do you do it on the lobe or flat service

Set the gap on the high spot on the lob,it should be set at around 50000 or twice the plug gap,this is just a rule of thumb,but changing the timing by turning the distributer will get the engine to max performance after this has been done.

Turns over not starting changed points

Verify the point gap is set right and that you are getting a good spark. Check to see if you are getting fuel to the carb.
