My jura capresso H2O kettle is broken.

From your description I would say a broken O ring seal in the brewing chamber. You will need to remove the brewing unit and clean, replace seals and lubricate the sliding guides.

make sure the water tank is full! there is a small float in the tank that moves up and down near the bottom, make sure this is up and not stuck down.

Hi Nancy. There is a fuse or fuse like device in the bottom of your teakettle. There is also a temperature control switch which may be faulty. (if faulty, it is 'open' and the pot thinks the water is hot already) If you have a volt/ohm meter, you can probably find and replace it. You will need the replacement part and tools to install it, including pliers, screw driver and a crimp tool.

since it is three months old, you should consider contacting the manufacturer for relief on this matter.

On the right side inside you can see a small slot. Try using a screwdiver or something to click this small microswitch, if the message disappears, then you need to check your tray and see if something is broken. You can also try to move a little on the tray when it`s in the machine. However if clicking on the microswitch doesn`t help, you need to have this switch replaced in a servicecenter

Sounds like the switch is weight sensitive. A safety feature to prevent overheat as contents run low? The baseplate is probably not moving freely enough to move accordingly.

call capresso, they will go through the whole machine for a small fee, or offer you a new model at a reduced cost
