Google alerts home page won't load on my computer

Clean your browser history maybe is ok

Under I.E it is as follows :
click tools then internet options, a window will pop up add google.com click apply close your browser then restart it will now load google as your home page.

Under Mozilla it is as follows :
Click tools then click options, a window will pop up if it isn't already click general type in the home page google.com click ok then shutdown your browser & restart it will now load google as homepage.

Under Google Chrome it is automatic,
If it has been reset on you then click Customize and Control Google Chrome then click settings under appearance under the show home button you will see the url to the home page that is set or it will say new tab page by default click change and click load this page if not already selected then type google.com click ok then shutdown your browser then restart your browser will now load to Google.

Please note add your required . address for your countrysuch as .au for Australia, .uk for the United Kindon and so on and so forth.

It may be that google is blocked on your DNS server, though highly unlikely, however you should try to see if you can access google through a proxy, and see if google loads then.

That is a Local browser... nothing to do with The Google Chrome site...except if you have set Google Crome's page as your home page... try to set a different home page.

Which system are you running on? Open Control Panel->Internet -> change start page.

Go to start- control panel- internet options. Click on the privacy tab and then sites and make sure google isn't in there. If it is then high light it a remove it. You could also try same steps to internet options then put in www.google.com as your home page. Don't forget to apply and save on exiting changes

I'm not sure which Google page you're trying to use as your home page, but you might have a look at the Windows Vista compatibility site available by clicking here to see if your home page is supported in Vista.
That might lead to something...

As far as the Google page not loading, what version of Internet Explorer are you using? Have you gone to Windows Update to make sure your system has all required hardware updates applied? There could be some kind of driver bug with your hardware that hasn't been worked out yet.
It seems to me this would have something to do with the way your Gmail is set up rather than Vista.
