Removal of agitator Maytag Bravos series, have coin(s) that rattle in the spins cycle

i reccomend you check the drive belt if its worn, damaged, or misaligned. motor bearings that are damaged can result to result in grinding noise

If it's a roaring noise, the tub bearing is probably wearing out. Spin the tub a little with your hand, if you hear a little of the roar, that's it.

i dont think maytag have direct drives so im guessing your belt is no good

What is the model number of the unit?

You need to replace the lid switch. Here is a link to the part.

Perhaps a wire from a garment has got between. Remove the tub and look.

it is probably money in the pump. I have had my washer for two years now and an on the second pump. I had to call a serviceman to take the pump loose and dump out the change. It had 81 cents the first time and 26 cents the second. I need to call him again but I think I am going to try to do it myself. $85 a service call is just ridiculous when I know what the problem is.
