I appreciate your DIY effort. Were you sure of power supply board being bad? From what you have mentioned, the main board seems to be bad. Because if the power board is good, the set will not power on unless it receives the power on command from the main board.
One more thing, in most of the Samsung sets on disconnecting power supply and main board, If you get the backlights, power supply board is OK and the main board is bad. Please try this. Good luck.

check, replace it. If it passes the
check, go to the next step.
3. Power on the printer. If the
message appears, replace the
controller board. Record the
message and return it with the
defective board.

these could be power supply , main board or both.

I have the same problem. As I see, here is dead sub PCB with microcontroller on board. Small PCB with 26 pins, mounted verticaly on main, big power supply board. It is not available as a spare part. You must buy complete power supply board LJ44-001444A, as I have done.

Either there is problem in your power supply or main board. There are many SMPS on the power supply board. First check the voltages coming out of the power supply & supplying to the main board. The voltages are printed on the power supply board. The top one is power supply & bottom one is main board.

Unplug,replug the tv to reset it self?Not.Take the tv aparts.Power supply board have dead parts,call capacitors,check power supply board,that the board have a a/c power cord plug into it.That the power supply board.Know basic electronic's?Know how to do soldering,have tools like soldering iron and solders?Check power supply board for those dying capacitors parts,alway bulges up on it tops or puff up on it tops.These capacitors must be replaced in the power supply board.Now the tv shuold have stable ur power light and work.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
