SOURCE: I have a LG 55lh40-ua it turns on for a few min with picture and sound then the picture goes black and the sound stays on...any ideas on what board needs to be replaced? thanks in advance

the main power board is bad ,,order a new one and replace it,lay it down face down on a table,unscrew all the screws on the back,lift back off,there are 3 boards,1 has the hdmi inputs on it,the other is skinny and the last one where the power cord plugs in,is the power board,find the sticker on it and write down the s/n and then go to ebay and find one,then unscrew it and when the new one comes,replace all the wires and securely screw it down,replace back and screws and check it out,,,,

Check that you are using a "live" tv jack. You might have to use the remote to switch from Ant A to Ant B etc.

LG model 55lh40 no picture no sound

check your standby voltage and make sure it is coming up standbys come from the power supply board and if they are present your main board is bad or the main power supply is not working

check the power cord cable might not properly attached or get broken.

Horizontal lines shadowed / blured picture after 20-30 minutes

There are some semiconductors or capacitors that are leaky. Might need thorough check up inside the TV.

that problem is cause of bad inverter board or T-con board..

If you have backlight the problem is T-con board..if no back light the problem is inverter board..

LG 55lh40 tv will not turn on. I REPLACED THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. THE STAND BY LIGHT IS RED. WHEN I PUSH THE POWER BUTTON IT MOVES FROM CENTER TO THE OUTSIDE AND BACK TWICE...

Only a probe with a voltage trace can figure to the possible SHORT in the circuit board. You need to look for possible signs of heating which can be an indicator to a short . Also check for the secondary +B to the circuit, check the path that leads to the drive and see if there is high potential drop, if so check the drop to get an idea of the short. The list of probabilities can be more and so ONLY a good voltage check can pinpoint the case. Take consensus but do not replace board at high cost with just assumptions.

LG 55lh40.....6 months old. Screen started scaling today with green and now has gone completely black. Remote doesn't work, can't use controls on TV as well, including on/off. Only way to turn off power...

Call LG for warrenty service,the tv Tuner board have problems.Must be replaced to solved this problems.
