Notepad alone will not number your pages for you. If you determine how many lines fit on a printed page you then could format your Notepad document accordingly and place a page number at the bottom of each page. This may take experimentation and will depend on your font type and size as well. So play around and you should be able to figure out what works in your case.

This is a simple question that I am often asked, and I decided to put together a little guide on how to add page numbers in various programs/applications as well as from the copier's touch screen. Originally I thought this was something that could be dictated from a Sharp print driver, but it's not. It's accomplished by adjusting the settings of the actual document before you print it out.
Print Page Numbers Onto Copied Documents
1. On the Home screen, touch Copy
2. On the Copy screen, touch Others at the bottom-left
3. On the Others Screen, touch Stamp
4. On the Stamp screen, move to the Page No. tab, then choose the location of the page where you want the page number. You can also choose the pattern or text style that you want the page number to be on the left side of the menu.
5. Touch OK. Your copies will have the page number stamped in the position you chose.
Printing Page Numbers from Microsoft Word or Excel on a Windows PC
1. Open your document
2. Once you're ready to print the document, move to the Insert Tab, and choose Page Number, then choose the position where you'd like the page number printed, and the type/style of the numbering. 3. Your print outs will now have the page number printed on them.
Printing Page Numbers from Adobe Acrobat / Adobe Reader
First of all, Adobe Reader cannot add page numbers to PDF print outs. It's a READ ONLY tool incapable of editing documents. You'll need either Adobe Acrobat Pro, or software similar to what BatesNumberer.com offers.
There is a great video on tv.adobe.com that details how to add page numbers via Adobe Acrobat.
In Conclusion
Make the necessary changes to your document to add page numbering before you print it, or before you copy it. There are a ton of other great tutorials for Sharp copiers/printers at www.youtube.com/equipmybiz
I'll assume you mean MS Word and not an computer motherboard. Page numbers are done by Insert command, Then Page Numbes. Specify the page location (left, Center, Right) in the pop-up window and you are done. Each page will then have the number at the bottom automatically.

The first two pages may be currently defined as a "Section" and is treated differently.
How do you want the numbering, or do you not want numbering?
Generally, Page one is NOT numbered and the rest are numbered, starting with "2", "3", etc.
Anyway, here is how to fix it:
Go to the top of the document and click your mouse in the upper left corner of the page (to make sure you are on the first page)
[Insert]
[Page Numbers]
Position: "Bottom of Page"
Alignment: Right
Uncheck [ ] Show number on first page
I have a HP Deskjet 1300n printer. I can print my email, pictures and
items off the internet, but cannot print any word documents or notepad
documents. When I print an excel document, I get an incomplete page-the
grid lines will print, and text garbage from a adobe program but not all the text. When I do a test print
page, I get an incomplete text page, but do not know how to solve this.
I have removed and reloaded the printer software-no improvement. There
are no new drivers to be installed.
It will be nearly the same, even if the memory is different. Download the manual by clicking on it. when you open PDF page put number 98 (page number75 in document) in the page number box at the bottom of the document. It will open a page with instructions and a picture of the memory door. If you replaced memory on a laptop you should be able to repeat procedure, only big difference is memory specs and position of RAM door.
OK, That's why it's not working.. In order to get them on there, do the following:
Once you have loaded the page into acrobat, goto the Document Menu, mouse over header and foot, and choose add..
In there, there will be a button that will say "insert page number", just click on that (only once), then click "ok".. That will add page 1...2...3...4, etc to the top of every page.
As a side note: you can also choose where to put the page number by clicking in one of the text boxes marked "Left Header", "Center Header", etc.. and then click on "insert page number".. You will be able to see a preview first before actually adding the numbers..
WHILE VIEWING THE DOCUMENT ON THE COMPUTER DO THE PAGE NUMBERS SEEM TO BE CORRECT? IT COULD BE A DOCUMENT CODE ERROR. SOMEWHERE DURING YOUR CORRECT PAGE NUMBERING IS SOME UN-NEEDED TYPING THAT IS THROWING THE REMAINDER OF THE DOCUMENT OUT OF WHACK. ARE YOU USING WORDPERFECT? IF SO, TURN ON THE REVEAL CODES AND CAREFULLY GO THROUGH THE DOCUMENT TO LOOK FOR EXTRA SPACES, UN-NEEDED TABS, ETC. THAT SHOULD PUT THE DOCUMENT BACK IN ORDER.
