How to find serial number for older Gator boat trailer. I cannot find vin or serial number on a used trailer I bought. I think it is from early 1980's

it will be riveted on the "A" frame near the tow ball
some manufacturers used a welder and welded the number on the a frame
if you don't have one , download the application form from the registry office and fill it out
they will issue you with a vin number which you will etch onto the plate that you get from the office

I have a 2007 chevy truck 5.3 towing capacity 6600lbs. i want to get a toy hauler that when loaded would weigh about 8000lbs. what can i do to increase towing capacity are what would happen if i pulle

My recommendation would be to call a Chevy dealer and give them the VIN number of the truck. Ask them what they would do to upgrade the towing capacity. They can use the VIN to determine if the engine/transmission/differential can handle the load if they install an upgraded towing package. Then you can decide what to do. Nothing says that you have to have the dealer do the actual upgrade, but they are better prepared to tell you what you need to do it.

Vin number location on franklin park models

The trailer A-Frame tongue is the first place to check. Look for a ID plate affixed to the frame near the coupler. If the ID plate isn't evident there, check the front storage compartment and look over any exposed frame members in that area. On some travel trailers, The ID plate is actually inside the trailer, inside a storage cabinet.

On a 1992 Geo manual transmission, What positions do the two shift actuators need to be in to put the tranny in neutral

this m/t has very complex shift linkage.
you should by a real FSM for the car and see the many long pages on topic there,
the words just for the lever are here
  1. At the console, loosen the gear shift control housing nuts and the guide plate bolts.
  2. Adjust the guide plate by displacing it toward the front and rear so that the gear shift control lever is brought in the middle of the guide plate at the right angle.
  3. Once the guide plate is positioned properly, tighten the guide plate bolts to 7 ft. lbs. (9 Nm) and then the housing nuts to 4 ft. lbs. (5 Nm).

try a real fsm. you wont be sorry ! I promise !

Food rotted in our refridgerator and the smell is in the seal can the seal be replaced or taken off to clean

should come off if it is not glued. it is secured in a groove or has little knobs that stick in holes, you can tell if you just pull it away a little. wash it with bleach/water really good, along with the fridge interior. the odor will go away!

Need to tow 1999 F250 about 150 miles home. What

If you have a stick shift, you rent a 2 wheel tow dolly and run the front tires onto it and strap it down. Put the truck in neutral and away you go.
If you have an Automatic you want all 4 wheels on a flatbed or tow trailer. You rent a car hauler trailer and piggyback the truck onto the trailer. A good rental will know the weight and rent you the right trailer.
