Try a reset to factory defaults and reprogramming your preferences. Time consuming, but sometimes things go bung inside the microprocessor controllers.
Problem is most likely shorted output transistors. These are the large transistors mounted on the heatsink. When these go short, they usually take out some the adjoining resistors in that channel.
if the volume control as been forced the conection in the switch as jammed +vol .this is usually a small preset under the knob the right hand one.pull the knob off pulling straight as not to bend spindle some time's the two presets are visable.a cotton bud dipped in spirits could solve your problem but some times you need to pull the top of the preset .it might need removing and replacing . this could be a more complicated problem caused by a variety of things here are a few,dry joints,cracked pannel .hope some of this helped . if in dire straits skype me farr64
