Copier is making a gringing noise when it is turned on. There is a lot of toner leaking inside the machine and the copies have black marks on them.

Lubricated the bushings on the black foam roller on the inside of the right hand door. Toner leakage is unrelated unless the drum unit gears are causing the noise, in which case, it must be replaced.

SOURCE: xerox 5305 copier excess toner

sounds like faulty drum cleaning blade, which is usually contained in the replacement drum module.I would be inclined to take the drum unit back where you got it (unless you replaced it with a second-hand one) 99% certain the problem is contained in that module

SOURCE: GRINDING NOISE or PAPER JAM

If you are not a technical person best thing to do is to show it to an expert. grinding noise means some part in the machine is running with the friction. and might brake something or scratch something. Find out persons who work on photocopiers in your area either samsung or Xerox. as this model comes with both the companies and Xerox people are generly better than samsung people.

I bought a new copier toner cartriage and the copier is making a grinding noise and poping. The copies skip parts of the copy. I have bought a second toner cartriage and it does the same thing. I put the...

make sure cartridge is fully installed and sitting properly. Sounds like gears are not meshing so check gears with cartridge out (bottom of copier) and see if they are damaged. If so, copier is junk.It might not be out of toner just can't read it properly as it is not seated proper.

Hi, My Toshiba E-Studio 3511 color copier has a error message of 'dispose of used toner.' Even if I followed the direction, the error message is still there and the copier can't work. Would you help me...

I am assuming you have emptied the old waste toner "box" and not replaced it with a new box. This is not a problem, just clarifying. If this is the case then you have toner packed into the sensor block which is telling the machine that the waste toner box is still full. Just look behind the waste toner box and look for a little set of wires. They lead to a small black sensor. Now look at the waste toner box where it mates up with the sensor. You will see a small square box area on the waste toner bottle. The sensor looks thru this block and if it is blocked with toner it will tell the machine the box is full. Just tap on the little block and make sure there is no toner in it and re-install the waste toner box and the indicator should go away.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Gringing noise when printer boots up and when it prints

Probably worn gears for the rollers along the paper path or the gears that mesh with the imaging roller in the toner cartridge. Remove the toner cartridge and reseat it. Also look for any rounding of the gear teeth on any of the rollers while you have to cartridge out.

Noises when printing copies

Take the new cart. out and reinstall the old cart. Does the noise disappear? I would tap and shake the toner cart. BUT BE CAREFULL, the cart is ready to spill toner. On the box and in the instructions it tells you, or should, that you must shake and tap the outside of the cart. This is due to settling and the toner maybe packed. By tapping and shaking it will feel the toner. If the toner is packed it will put undue pressure on the augers inside the toner cart. and cause a grinding noise. If after tapping and shaking, reinstall the new cart. and check. If everything is ok -- great. If the noise remains contact the company your purchased the cart. from and ask for a replacement. These cart. are mass produced and mostly reused ( refurbed). Parts wear now and they do not replace the inside parts, they just repack with toner and seal.

Sharp AL1642 CS Copier Grinding noise and Paper Jams

Loud clacking sound, jamming in fuser ? sounds like the gear that turns the fuser are bad and not meshing together,
accordion jam is the fingers or claws that ride on the fuser roller are probably worn out ( these can be replaced usually 3-5 ).

You can buy the parts and replace them yourself if a handy person, not that difficult.

Loud grinding noise Toshiba 1550

It is one of three problems,
1- the developper is starting to go bad, unfortunately with toshiba it is a common problem the seals go bad in the unit the gears are very hard to turn giving a loud grinding noise, although you can rebuild the unit by changing the seals, it's VERY messy and they don't always work ( after spending all that time cleaning and changing the seals and gears and it didn't work, I just started to change the DV unit.) Test by taking out and turning the gear by hand, if you need a plier to turn it, it's bad.
2-the toner itself is a problem, take out the toner and look at wherre it sits there is a gear that turns the toner to feed it in the machine, if it's dirty and has toner it will make noise, test by taking out toner and close machine, does it make the noise without it?
3- cleaning section where the drum is, this is what turns to feed excess toner into the small pastic container, aggravating but not a mechanical problem. And also check the fuser ( where it gets hot)

I think I've covered everything for that machine.

Good luck
