WARNING: Uneven tightening will warp the head. Tighten Cylinder Head Bolts down evenly by hand. Then using torque wrench tighten in sequence, in 9 N m (80 lb-in) increments to 25 N m (220 lb-in).
Intake valve push rods are aluminum.
Exhaust valve push rods are steel.
DO NOT interchange push rods.

Removal and Re-installation sequence for bolt removal and tightening.

Intek can be twin or single sylinder.

31C700 engine? (model number)

This is pretty generac for all of their engines as a general rule 0.004 - 0.006

From the service manual for the 31C700 engine:

ADJUST VALVES

1. Set No. 1 cylinder at 1/4" (6.4mm) past TDC, compression

stroke.

a. Adjust valves and check, Fig. 17.

Valve Clearance (cold) IN and EX .005" (0.13 mm)

b. Torque adjusting screws and jam nuts to 60 in. lbs.

(7.0 Nm).

2. Set No. 2 cylinder at TDC, compression stroke.
a. Repeat for No. 2 cylinder.

The valves on the bigger engine, will be larger.
Therefore changing the head off the smaller engine, may cause minor aspiration problems.
But if it's an 'OLD' engine, it probably won't care.
