Our power went off today and when I powered the EKI607 ceramic induction hob on again the two left hand plates (front left and rear left induction cooking zones) are not working and are showing an error E 6. We live on an island and are not near an electrical supplier so would appreciate information for an authorised service agent in southern Tasmania.

Hi,

You've probably accidentally activated the child-lock "L". It would help to know which model you have as the deactivation method can vary on different models. However, this is the process for activation or deactivation on the EKI-848 which looks like the one in the above picture:

Switching off the childproof lock

1. Press the ON key.

2. Then immediately press the Plus key of the cooking zone at the left-back and the Minus key of the cooking zone at the right-back simultaneously.

3. Then press the Minus key in order to deactivate the childproof lock. The "L" will go off.

If this doesn't work or you have a different model, please post back and I will let you know the correct deactivation method for your model.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

BElectric

Belling Induction hob flashing E6

An E6 error code on a Belling induction hob typically indicates an issue with the power supply or the circuit board that controls the back two rings. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Reset the hob: Try turning off the power to the hob for a few minutes and then turning it back on. This can sometimes reset the circuit board and clear the error code.
  2. Check the power supply: Make sure the hob is receiving a stable and adequate power supply. Check the circuit breaker or fuse for the hob to ensure it is not tripped or blown.
  3. Check the wiring: Inspect the wiring and connections for the back two rings to ensure they are not loose or damaged. Tighten any loose connections or replace any damaged wiring.
  4. Contact a professional: If the issue persists, it may be a problem with the circuit board or control module. In this case, it's best to contact a professional technician or the manufacturer for assistance with repairs or replacement parts.
I hope this helps you resolve the issue with your Belling induction

My de Dietrich DTI309 induction hob has started a continuing intermittent beep. The two left hand rings have stopped working. The middle one is fine,as are the two right hand ones. Any ideas?

This happened to me today too. I heard an intermittent beep (I thought it was some kind of "hot" alarm). Then the 2 hobs on the right stopped working. Looking at my consumer unit, the fuses didn't trip so I'm not sure what might have happened

any guidance?

I have broken the glass on my induction cooker

ENr is on rating plate on bottom of hob. The Ceramic top is easy to replace, it is held on by 3 pozi screws on each side (12 altogether) and just sits on the main electrical parts, obviously the unit should be isolated from main before you remove the top. Part can be ordered using the link

Replacing faulty regulator for hotplate

Remove hotplate and oven control knobs. Under the 2nd and 5th knobs is an extra screw which holds on the front cover. Unscrew these and free the cover then access is gained to the screws (2 on each edge) which removes the plate to which the regulators are fixed.Remove the faulty regulator by unscrewing it from the plate,(2 screws) It is an easy job then to install the new part taking care to put the correct wires on the correct terminals. Reassemble, job done!

Zanussi Ceramic hob ZKT641H front/main left zone does not heat up

can't give you much guidence - will be either regulator or the plate itself. no easy way to find out. you will have to remove the hob top and check for continuity thro the plate. ifplate is ok, then power up and check for supply to the plate. if no supply, then the regulator will be at fault
