No Audio I have a 2004 Toyota Sienna w/JBL system AM/FM CD/Cassett Radio & since August 07 the radio will work & then not work. It will turn on & you can change & see stations on display but there is no audio sound. It has mind of its own. Sometimes it works for a few minutes to days & then not at all for months & months. The dealership did replace my amp, thinking that might be the problem, since my battery has also died & been replaced on three occassions. This however, didn't fix the problem. Again, the radio works on occasions. Now, within the past several months the DVD player has been acting weird. It will work sometimes & not at other times. It's driving me crazy & I know it will cost a fortune to replace both. My van is several years old but I bought it new & have taken great care of it. I am disappointed b/c I have always owned Toyotas & have never had such a problem.

IT MAY BE A GOOD IDEA TO CHECK THE WIRES BEHIND THE HEAD UNIT AS THIS IS WHERE EVERYTHING IS POWERED FROM, MAYBE A LOOSE EARTH LEAD OR MAYBE A LOOSE POWER LEAD, SOMETHING SOUNDS LOOSE.

Original cd player won't turn on

First Check the fuses. There are two (or three) that run the radio

1 - holds the settings when truck is off (7.5A Acc) - probably not this one, cuz if it fails, lotsa stuff won't work.

2 - turns radio on when key comes on (10A Radio No1) - Check it with a meter, not your eye, the filaments are very fine.

(If you have the JBL system) (30A Radio No2 runs the amp/ subwoofer)

If these are both OK, and you're still having trouble, post back, you may need to remove the radio.......

I have a 2009 Toyota Sienna van and had the battery replaced, the radio will not work now.

Does radio show "CODE" in the display?
Call dealer or look in your owners manual.
4 digit code will get it back.
Always save the "memory" in the systems when changing the battery.
Use an external 12 V. source to keep computer, clock and radio
memory.
Losing memory may cause the engine to NOT idle and run poorly as well.
A 9 V. battery in the cigarette lighter is one way.

This is a well-known problem of Solara convertibles with JBL audio systems. Here's a link to the fix. I didn't need a ratchet - the bolts can be removed with a phillips head.

Please help me, I have a 4 Runner 2003 that has a JBL CD Player and a Cassett player in one built in the dash. Both are not working: The CD Player keeps flashing (Error 3) when ever I put a CD in...

did the error code start with the tape getting stuck? i have heard that if you disconnect the battery for 5-10 minutes it will reset the radio but make sure you have a code for it to unlock it it the radio has security. they say it starts working again if you do this. again this is just what i have heard a toyota tech say when i worked there. it may be that it knows it has a problem with the tape and keeps it inop, as far as getting the tape out, it either breaks the tape or the tape player or both. i worked at a car stereo shop for 10 years and very rare for both to survive.

2007 Chrysler 300 , AM radio not working , but FM works fine

Usually when you lose only AM it is an antenna issue. Check for a loose antenna plug on the back of the radio or connection to the antenna.

I have an '08 Tacoma, and I bought an aftermarket iPod interface with RCA jacks so I could hook up my iPod and Sirius Satellite Radio.
