Useless information (above).... no good having a picture organizer if you don't have the DRIVERS to recognize the camera! Duhhhh.
As for the XP drivers, they're NO GOOD if you are running Vista.

is the memory card removable? One would think so as Pentax usually have SD cards. If it is just put it into you laptop card reader and transfer via windows explorer like any other file. If no card reader, buy an external one or a sd to usb adapter. Just a few bucks on ebay.

I have had 2 Pentax cameras and never installed the camera drivers.

Download cannon pictures

John
When you view the pictures you should have an option to choose or check off which photos you want to download.

Try opening your disc where the photos are from your File Manager on your computer.

Go to your lower left corner and right click your mouse on Start and open Windows Explorer.

then look at your drives of your computer on the left side of the screen
You should see C drive and search for the photos or open the folder with the photos and whichever drive you have your photo disc in.

When you click on this drive your computer may ask "would you like to view the photos with MS photo viewer or something similar.

View the photos first, they will open all at once. You should have a spot to click in and put a check mark to download ONLY those photos from the disc to the laptop.

Give that a try. Of course if it states "would you like to download all the pictures, click NO if available.

If the mouse did not come with an installation disc, and you don't have the XP disc I would check with either Microsoft or the Manufactures website to see if you can download and install the driver from there.

My laptop crashed and I want to restore to factory settings and I dont have a cd how can I do it

1) In some cases, you can buy the recovery media from the manufacturer.
https://secure.tx.acer.com/RCDB/Main.aspx?brand=emachines
(needs your serial number and often is restricted to purchase during the initial warranty period)

2) Your computer came with a Recovery Management tool which would have allowed you to burn your own. (Too late for this to work)

3) In the Bios see if Disc to Disc Recovery (D2D Recovery) is enabled (Press <F2> during the POST to enter the BIOS.) It will be in the Main section. If it is enabled (or after enabling it - save and exit the BIOS), restart the computer and press <alt> and <F10> simultaneously when the eMachines logo is visible. You should enter the Recovery section and follow the directions. Please note this will reformat your hard drive and you will lose any data that wasn't previously backed up.

I sometimes find it hard to time these startup key strokes, try again until successful.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(The D2D recovery information is in a hidden partition (15 GB) on the hard disc, if your computer had the feature. Backing up your data and checking if the hard drive has this partition can be done with a LiveCD of either a UNIX or some other system utility programs (if you have a second RW optical disc or an external hard drive). Using a LiveCD requires hitting <F12> at the eMachines logo to enter the boot menu.)

I cannot add additional photos to my dvd-rw disc though I had burnt only one image on it.The pop-up notice always requests/asks to override the above to enable further recordings/ insert a blank disk. Your...

There is a chance that your program automatically closed the session on the disc. If it does this there is no further burning allowed. Your best bet is to copy the image from the disc onto the computer, then using your program erase your re-writable disc. When burning the images onto your disc be sure the option is not checked to close the disc.

Password

You can try booting in the safemode to see whether the default administrator account is enabled. If it is there then log on to the administrator account and changed the password for the account.

If the administrator account is not enabled then you should have the Vista disc to do system restore. Boot the computer from the Windows VIsta disc.. when you see the setup screen look for Repair your computer link at the left bottom corner. Click that follow the instruction to do system restore.

IF you dont have the vista disc call you Acer support to find how to boot in to Win RE

Good luck
