62HM95 lamp will not work after color wheel motor replacement

I have a 62HM95. Replaced one bulb then the color wheel motor locked up. Replaced the color wheel motor from TSM. Now when I turn on TV, the color wheel spins up just fine, but the lamp will not come on at all.

Toshiba 62hm95 makes whirring noise and color is distorted

Your color wheel is going out and needs to be replaced. Toshiba does not list a part# for the color wheel. They expect you to have the whole light engine rebuilt. You should be able to find one on ebay. Or other sites like that. Good luck to you.

Toshiba model number 62HM95 62' makes grinding noise

SORRY, This is from the authorized Toshiba parts center:

"The color wheel, lamp fan, lamp fan holder are parts of the LIGHT ENGINE only." It means the wheel is not sold separately and there is not even listed in the breakdown for the set a part number.

A replacement light engine (optical light engine) retails for 456.00 list and is sold on an exchange basis only.

Is the color wheel fine if it is spinning? Can you see any light from the dlp lamp when the screen is off? I had a service guy come by to fix my dlp and he replaced the bulb with no luck. He said it was...

First You can look on the rear of the set and see the lamp light shine through the lamp door vents when the set is on. Second you need to replace the whole color wheel before the set will work. Third Color wheels may spin but not at the correct rpm and may shut down the tv and sometimes color wheels will emit a high pitched whine or buzzing sound indicating that the bearings in the motor are wearing out. But now that you have to replace the color wheel you will need to adjust the index delay in the service menu. I suggest having a factory trained tech repair the set.

62HM95 noises

The color wheel sits inside the light engine. in other worlds they are trying to sell you the whole thing instead of just the color wheel. I have had the same problem for some time, and people have charged me $100-$150 dollars to fix my tv. I would be willing to fix your tv, and you wouldn't even need a new light engine or color wheel. If you are intrested I can do it for a very low price. I am more then quilafied to work on electronics. If you have any questions e-mail me at [email protected]

Toshiba 62HM95 62 in HDTV

Hello,

Check your color wheel to make sure it is spinning properly, and that your Fresnel lenses are clean. There are tools that allow you to check for the proper RPM settings of the color wheel.

I believe that your problem is being caused by the color wheel or the color wheel motor.

I hope this helps,
