set its jumpher ot the slave position and plug it on ide2/secondary port of the motherboard and dected it from bios setting of the pc which appears when u press delet/f2 buttin when computer starts.

Its a master/slave problem. Put it to cable select mode

Turn your computer off.
Disconnect the power cord.
Disconnect all other disk-drives and CD/DVD drives, leaving only the "suspect" drive connected.
Restart your computer, and enter BIOS SETUP, and see if the drive is detected, and how it is connected (primary/secondary, master/slave).

Read the model-number and serial-number and manufacture-date on the disk's label,
and access Seagate's web-site, to check the warranty-status of the drive.
If the warranty is valid, Seagate will replace the drive, at minimal cost to you.

Search online for a professional "data recovery service". For a significant fee, they can repair your disk-drive, just long-enough to copy your files to a new disk-drive.

Hi,
HDD not Detecting only Some region, if you HDD data cable damage, HDD power Cable damage, HDD port damage, or HDD bad sector. But normally you change HDD data or power cable or mother board port. And i suggest mother board all connection disconnect and only HDD connect and open bios and search your HDD detected.

how old is your hdd? it could be that your hdd did not come with support for windows 7. if that is the case, you will need to log onto the seagate website and download the latest software/driver for your hdd. hope this helps :)

Hard disk prolem'

Probablel corrupt partition. Please advise which OS you are using. In windows you can access the drive from disk managerment from where you can re-partition and format it. Keep me posted
