Try initalizing the Harddrive if that doesn't work.
Try replacing the scanner controlboard or the DC controller.
Or if the MFP is in a dusty room try cleaning the lenses and mirrors in the scanner unit first

SOURCE: Incorrect Pin Error message coming

The pin for this specific machine should be 11434506.
If that doesn't work you must cold reset the machine.

Turn it off the machine.
Turn machine on hold 6 down until the memory count is done and all 3 lights are on release 6 and use 3 to arrow up to cold reset and press 6 "acts as the enter button"

FYI
3 works as arrow up
9 works as arrow down
6 works as the Enter button

57.04 indicates the main fan (FN101) is not working.

Listen for the fan to operate while the printer is initializing. If the fan does not operate during the initialization sequence, replace it.

Initializing scanner

Update the firmware
Restored factory defaults
Initialization of the hard disk.
If it still doesn't work try to clean the scanner head under the glass. Clean the lens with some alcohol but be careful not to scratch the lens.

I get a error initializing scanner?

Background of issue- When 4345/M4345 boots up, amber light comes on under start button and the message "Initializing Scanner" is displayed. The unit will print but will not preform any scan functions.

Steps taken to try to resolve issue:
1. Updated firmware
2. Restored factory defaults
3. Took off cover in back of printer covering scanner controller board and reseated all cables
4. Took apart scan unit and cleaned (2)mirrors in scan head
5. Took off back cover of unit, reseated cables coming from scanner controller board
6. Ran Scanner Test, in menu (which everything functions properly)

Usually I would say scanner or controller board has failed but I had 3 M4345 come down with this issue in one week. The only resolve i've found for this issue is repetitively turning on and off the unit until it comes up without "scanner initializing" message. Once it comes up it functions 100% until the unit is turned off and issue will come back.

I'm at a loss here with so many units having same issue, open to any advice. I once took the formatter out of bad unit and put it in good one and it caused the issue in the good one but i'm double verifying this tonight. Thanks for any help.
