Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washer fills with water and stops
My Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washer will fill with water, but then stop, no agitation. As I turn the selection dial I can hear a buzzing noise. What are possible problems, please.

If this only happens when the machine is turned on,the tube from the tub to the water level switch is pinched or broken. If the clear plastic tube is not pinched or broken, the water level switch in the control console is bad. If the machine lets water through when it is in the OFF position, the water valve where the hoses connect are bad.
Hi, could be faulty timer, faulty water level switch, faulty start capacitor for motor, or faulty motor. always put clothes in machine before starting. you can empty machine by lowering drain hose to flow level.
If the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Yes if its filling slow do to a blockage in a screened hose it will .If it never stops filling and doesnt over flow than its syphoning the water and you need to elevate thr drain hose higher than the water level and it will kick into wash. Please rate This !!
