If this is only happening on one input like your cable input and the dvd player is working great on a different input, then the issue can possibly be signal related and not a problem with the tv, if this haapens on any input you are watching, check to see if it affects the menu if it does then your looking at a Logic board issue, if it doesn't affect the menu but happens on multiple inputs then you have to replace the signal board

i can save you a trip to service center its not the x sus its your display or ribbons to display most likley display you can try to take off back and you will see ribbons on top or bottom of display try to gently press where screen is black if the screen fills in its connections on ribbons if not its your display cost prohibitve to repair sorry

I also have the same model.Try reducing the brightness and contrast.It worked on my tv.
