SOURCE: gilera dna oil light and also rev counter.

Have you had an oil gauge on the line to check what pressure you are running at? You may want to try running a heavier oil in the engine. If you are running a synthetic oil switch back to ester oil. If this does not remedy the problem then a new oil pump will be the fix

SOURCE: '02 Yamaha XJR1300 Rattle/vibrating noise from bottom of engine

how do you adjust the headlight beam on a xjr1300 naked 2002 bike, is it as simple as undoing the 2 bracket bolts at the sides of the lights and re-setting the lights to a new level ??
currently it seems to be set for riding with a pillion passanger or heavy load at the rear as the lights are set low, no one flashes me even if i ride at night with full beam on !

thanks xjr cambs

SOURCE: 2001 r6 keeps pushing all the water out of the expansion tank and when hot does not want to run

Possibly has air in the coolant system causing the coolant to boil. You can flush the whole thing if your coolant is in need, but mainly open the radiator cap and shake all hoses to release air while adding more coolant. Also may be the radiator cap spring (maybe). I am not sure about why it will not start up... maybe a sensor will not allow it.

* I am not certified in anyway and have minimal knowledge, my 05 r6 had air in the coolant and would boil out of the overflow. Make sure you use distilled water to avoid corrosion.

Idels up and down 95 jeep grand cherokee

Go to Walmart or local part store and buy a can of sea foam and pour it in you gas tank with a quarter tank of gas. You can also pour a little bit in your vacuum line that connects to brake manifold. Rev the engine to about 3 to 4 thousand rpms. Keep doing this till white smoke stops or alot of black junk is coming out of the exhaust. This is a tune up in a can and will clean carburetors and injectors. You can also put in oil before a oil change and do the same thing to help clean engine.

I have rcently bought an 1991 xj600 it was involved in a accident and has some damage but looked cosmetic mainly just chipped fins and broken footpeg/indicator. I have been riding it for a while and now it...

STOP RIDING IT! You have a few moderate issues going on that need to be fixed as soon as possible! If black smoke is coming out of your exhaust, then you probably need your carbs cleaned, and need to check and see if oil is some how making it into the cylinders. Oil leaking from the air cooler means you have a break in your radiator, either the hoses or the radiator itself. Fortunately these are rather inexpensive, but the longer it goes, the more expensive it becomes. Also check your oil level to make sure you're not below the recommended amount of oil in the engine. This oil does a few things, keeping your engine cool (radiator), keeps stuff moving (pistons and such), and also acts as the lubricant for your clutch plates and gears. For parts I use Bike Bandit but the site also has diagrams that you can use to figure out how stuff fits together. Also the manuals are available online which offer help for maintenance and such. I hope this helps, and if it does, please feel free to give me a thumbs up! Have a great day and good luck! Ride safe!

Isuzu trooper 2003, skyroof version, 4jx engine. Diesel and oil mixing in engine. It might be the electronic fuel injector o ring. Need help badly. Isuzu alabang is giving me some pain. Big Black smoke...

If you are sure that the engine oil is coming into the combustion chamber, then you have to overhaul the engine. After the overhaul is done, have it calibrated and and clean the exhaust pipe to get rid of the black smoke. And! remember, for diesel engines a big black smoke will always come out the exhaust if you suddenly step on the gas too deep and then over-revving it. (I mean always, that's why roadside emissions people are so stupid when stepping on the gas, they always step on it suddenly and over-rev it, it's a sure fail)

1.9 dci no power and bluey grey smoke is coming from the exhaust

There are indeed traces of oil coming out of the exhaust. Blue smoke is burning oil. Grey or white smoke is usually coolant/water going through the engine. This can be caused by leaking head gaskets, valve guides depending on the engine, excessive blow-by, etc. Large amounts of oil are not good; and water is even worse. I would look at getting the head gasket replaced. The loss of power is because neither oil or water likes to burn, and once your engine clears it out, it probably runs ok for the rest of the day. Then I'm guessing the next morning, it comes back. This is an urgent fix, because prolonged leakage can damage the engine block, head, or both.

ther are no lubriction points on the driveshaft,if you rev the engine does the noise get louder or go away?try power braking the car ,make sure e-brake works properly if so apply it ,place the car in drive, place your left foot on the brake ,right on the accelerator, rev to 2000rpm for no more than 10 sec, this is like puttting a load on the drive train, this may unmask your noise,it appears this may be some sort of exhaust rattle since nothing is moving undereath car

Hi , I`m not sure about the 01 model but the 98 model got this roker cover gasket problem because it`s too close to the exhaust and with time can`t handle the heat.So when you rev the car , dropping oil on to the exhaust and one little drop of oil can make big smoke which coming up around the turbo. Puchased a rover quick start 6 months ago. No revs

Black smoke should not be coming from your air filter. If however, the smoke is coming from your exhaust this could be the result of dirt clogging your air filter and starving the engine of air, hence causing the motor to run on a rich fuel/air mix. If this is the case clean or replace the air filter element, and keep it clean. Another reason for black smoke blowing out is dirty oil in the crank case, if the oil is very dark brown to black in color or smells burnt then it needs replacing.
