Generally, the built-in voice recording app only allows you to record audio from input devices like microphone or headphones. If you want to record internal audio from your computer system, you need a specific audio recording software. You have an internal recording device. It consists of a built-in webcam and microphone. to make a recording, use the cyberlink webcam program that's pre-installed on your laptop. you'll find it listed somewhere in the start / all programs list in windows 7. also, for sound recording only, the windows 7 audio recorder is located under start / all programs / accessories / sound recorder. select it and click the red record button. also, windows 7 has a feature or program called problem steps recorder. it records activity on your screen including mouse movement. i don't know if it records sound. to access it type psr in the search window and select psr in the search results, then click on start record.

Dont have audio device

Check device manager if the Audio device is detected.

Check Audio device has mark like this ! - i suggest uninstall / reinstall the audio device driver. download the driver from dellsupport.com drivers and download page.

If the audio device has ? mark it means that computer not able to recognize the audio hardware. if you are using audio onboard replace motherboard. if the audio has expansion card reseat the card then try again. if all fails then try a different audio card if passed then the audio card is faulty. if all fails using a different audio card it means the motherboard slot is faulty. replace mobo.

I DONT HAVE SOUND ( AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE IS NOT INSTALLED)

Check out either the audio drivers (start > settings > control panel > system > hardware > device manager >check for exclamation mark in front of the audio device) and update if nessersary,
Or the audio mixer levels from the audio related icon at the taskbar. In case it's missing go start > settings > control panel >sound devices > mark the checkbox "volume icon at the taskbar"

After the above you will be able to hear audio from your computer but in case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.
