I need to set up without installation disc. I have a belkin n1 router and can not find the install disc. Im back online but without security.Cant figure out how to get my password put back on the router.

You can do it manually without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem
Then you need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.

First RESET your router to defaults.
for that press RESET button for 10 seconds RESET button is in back side of router.
Then connect your router to computer with ethernet cable.
Then you can access it with following link.
http://192.168.15.1

type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password"
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Set WAN settings as your internet service provider settings.
Enable DHCP .
CLick on wireless and enable wi fi.
If you want secure router then enable WEP security then add new code it is your password key for connect wi fi.

To get the information about the wireless settings of the router,
you will need to open the set up interface of the router.
Router set up is very easy . you don't even need the set up disc.

It might be an idea to upgrade the firmware which can be downloaded from manufacturers' website

It's asking for the security word that you entered into the router when you set up wireless security. You will need to enter both the wireless SSID, and the security key to make the system work.

Check ip address of your pc. Go to DOS Prompt, type ipconfig then click enter. Look for DEFAULT GATEWAY(that will be your router ip address). Open your browser and type the default gateway on the address field(example: 192.168.1.1). That will take you to your router page. You can set up security there.

I don't know the model of your router this would be very helpful. Most routers have a reset button on the back of the router. This will reset your router back to factory default settings.This will reset the pasword to default usually "admin". You will need to set up your router all over again. Let me know the model and I can send you a link for installation of your router.

You need to setup security through the web browser interface. You can connect to the web based interface by pointing your browser to the IP address of the router. U will be asked for a username and password after which there is a security tab where in you can set WEP/WPA encryption and password, etc.
