How do you take the Statelite off and reconnect to the cable box

On Thursday I tried to record a program on VHS. After the recording was over I tried to return to cable TV with no luck I went into the menu mode of the Phillips Recorder, there are only 5 modes. Timer record did nothing, so I went into Satellite Link, the time flashed and then said on. How do I get off of sat and back to the cable connection so I can watch TV again. Why would one recording cause a problem. If I am going out for the evening which do I use one-touch record or time record and does the cable box have to be on inorder to record?

SOURCE: Philips Magnavox MWR10D6 DVD Recorder Cannot record in +VR mode

check to see if the U-verse box is in HD mode. If it is, change it to standard definition and the problem should be solved.

Menu -> Options -> System Settings -> Aspect Ratio

SOURCE: I have a Magnavox ZV427MG9 A VHS & DVD Recorder

Ensure that your source is correct. L1 is the rear inputs and L2 is the front inputs. If you have it set to L2 then you have no information from the TV getting to the recorder.

SOURCE: this program is not recordable in +vr mode

This means exactly that these are copy Once only, meaning you can not make it copy say 10 copies, at the same time, it means you must do one a at a time. If you wanted say 10 copies, you must do the entire process over and over.

I have a Panasonic DMR-ES30V. I've only ever recorded from what I'm watching on the TV to a DVD. I now have a VHS tape that I'd like to record to DVD. I tried starting the dvd to record...

Most Combo Recorders (VHS and DVD) will prevent you from
recording a Copyrighted VHS tape program onto DVD.
Try recording a TV program onto your VHS tape, then
transfer it to your DVD and see if your new DVD recording
will work or not.

Have digital TV have 3 yr old sony VHS VCR DVD player combo

A DTV converter box will take digital broadcast signals from the antenna and convert them to a format compatible with the VCR. You will be able to record programs received through the DTV box on your VCR if you could record analog over-the-air programs before the digital changeover. You can use either the RF output or the component output from the DTV box to input to the VCR.

I have a vhs/hq ..i have visual but no audio for a program i recorded last thursday. I tried recording from tv now and still no sound but picture. I played other movies or previous recorded things in vhs...

Try first to ensure that the scart lead at the back of the set or any AV leads that you are using are secure and tight.

Sometimes if the scart lead is not pushed home correctly it will lose audio. Try then to record a sample of video and try playback.
If there is still no sound try another scart lead first.

It will be a process of elimination I'm afraid.

Quazar Model VHQ520/VHQ540 cannot record after inst Digital Conv

You need to set the vcr to channel 3 or 4 (whatever channel the digital converter box is set to broadcast on) to record a program. The digital converter box has to be set to the channel you want to record the show from.

Cannot record from cable box dvr to vhs tape

DVRs have embedded digital rights functionality to prevent you from doing what you are try to do. In addition the VCR has logic to respond to that and prevent recording by blocking the signal.

That is likely why you cannot get a signal.

Stupid question recording on a vcr

If you have a cable box:: the RF cable from the outside to BOX, the BOX to the INPUT of vhs video, the OUTPUT of video (VHS) to the back of TV.
Keep the channel for the reception of tv through CABLE BOX according to cable box directions.
Put the ch. on the cable box to ch. u want to record...place blank vhs tape ( with the TAB in back NOT broken off ) press [record] usually red button.
