You will need to reset either your username/password. Just visit www.mail.google.com and click on 'Forgot username/password' and follow the steps to recover your gmail account.

Normally with this type of problem you get some sort of error message... ie; incorrect password or email address not found etc. If you know the email address is entered correctly there should be a link to click "forgot password" try that and go for there. For problems like this you need more information for someone to try and help ... good luck.
