I have an aqua glass whirlpool tub. The jets work for the first couple seconds, then don't spray. I took the motor and pump off and tried it on my work bench. The motor is smooth and the propellor spins fine (though I don't have water going through). If the jets stop spraying and I shut the motor down and I let the tub turned off for a bit the jets will spray when I turn it back on, but only for a few seconds. What would cause the jets not to spray when it appears the motor and propellor work ok? It's almost like the water isn't getting to the pump, and when I shut if off a little drains into the pump and it works, but it can't keep up the flow. all the tubes seem clear. this tub has gotten very little use. I took off the inflow filter inside the tub and that tube is clean. The end that goes on the pump looks new, very clean. A little info from the pump, model no PUUTSCES1098PR, mfg date 0307, 1.0 HP 1 speed. Vico Products mfg co. Thanks for any help.
First of all, what you have is a WOW pump that has an E-switch for a control.
There is a knob on the top lip of your tub that you turn a 1/4 turn to turn this pump on/off.
There is a small circuit board inside the box on top of the motor. This is likely the source of your problem.
Here is your biggest problem. That little circuit board is not made anymore. We have the e-switch but you will be better off changing out the pump (which you have to do anyway) with a new WOW pump with an air switch and change the switch on the top lip of the tub to an air button which will turn the pump on/off.

Your motor is shot. you need a new pump. If it comes on and you can hear a hum then it is bad. If you can get us a model number of the pump we can recommend a replacement model for you.
