No Picture or sound on my JVC HD-56FN97 Television

I have no picture or sound on my JVC HD-56FN97. Is it possible to still have the screen menu options with a bad bulb? I still have the screen menu, blue screen but no picture when plugged into a outside source. (i.e. VHS, DVD, camera, xbox, etc) Is a card of some sort damaged? Thanks in advance. Ajb

No, if bulb is bad you will not see anything on screen.

Are outside sources connected to different inputs on TV?

Make sure the bulb is seated properly in it's hole. It has to be an exact fit or it won't work.

JVC HD-56FN97 all blue colored objects are green; blue water, clothes etc. what is the problem?

Check with JVC as at least on one of these sets had these issues: wrong color, any color missing, picture upside down or backwards lettering etc and this one required the use of the computer with a jig from JVC to download to the unit itself two files.

It sounds like a firmware/software issue and if so JVC should have it on record.

I remember as we were authorized and were at first informed they would charge us three hundred for even using the jig---our owner simply said fine, we will tell the customer we will have nothing to do with this repair(nearest other service center was 150 miles, they had to give us the unit for free or end up replacing the set. My point is they are not the easiest people to deal with unless you have the upper hand with them.

JVC HD-56FN97 when turned on blue light is solid, red ligt blinks a few times and goes out. My picture is very dark despite adjustments I make in the menu, any help or feed back apreciated.

The set does use a lamp for a light source and average life is 2 years or 2000 hours---many lamps before they actually fail get to be darker.

I have a JVC Model HD56FN97 (bought in 2007). I replaced the lamp, and now I have a pinkish circle on part of the picture. Any solutions?

Possibly a color wheel issue - do you here a constant wining noise..if not its likely the light engine issue

No audio. Sound comes up in the menu but I can not select or change anything. Good picture. No sound

SRA-1016A-M2-R - Analog Pwb Assy is most likely the part that is got a problem. i have seen many time on the JVC HDILAs have audio circuit failures. the audio amp will usually fail sometimes i have seen speaker issues but they are very rare. good luck that board cost is around $140.00

Poor quality picture. specifically the red is brown and can't be adjusted. the tv is about 3 years old.

If the picture is replace the lamp. Lamp only affects brightness if the color is wacked replace the light engine.

Your lamp has blown. Time to get a new one.

the hyperlink button doesn't seem to be working, but just copy and paste this link into your browser. It is linked directly to your tv's replacement bulb.

It's probably just your cable tuner. Verify this by piping the cable into the same tv input that you use for the x-box or DVR. If you still get the bad picture you need to contact your cable provider.
