Sony KV-32S45 turns on at first, than blinks out, still sound

The hight voltage transformer it dead.The FBT(The flyback transformer is dead)The block of plastic with the red wire with a cap hook to the CRT(the tv tube).

looks like a horiz.output transistor is shorted.check it...

The set needs service, count the no of times the RED LED blinks & contact the serv centre as it indicates the part problem.

yes the power supply inside the unit is now gone.
it needs a rebuild.
or replacment, you can call a company named andrews electronics, give them your model number and ask them cost of power supply board..

If the power plug is fused (like in UK) check the fuse inside the plug.

Test a different power socket.

If there is no power at all, and the power cord is good, then it is a faulty power suupply board. Probably a capacitor on power board had blown.
The board must be tested and repaired by a technician.

Please post the blink count of the standby light. That will indicate the circuit in which the problem was found that triggered the "protect" mode. Further details can be provided once that count is available.

if the set has a previous vertical line problem and a white horizental line only comes in the cross of the screen and you turned the tv on for a time while the problem is solved that mean you have make a burnt line to the screen , but if you are the tv owner and nothing of that happens so you have a problem in faulty dried capaciter in the vertical live part search for 33uf 160 v or 22u 160 v and alter regards please don't forget to rate thx

yes you have a bad vertical ic . i,ve seen bad conections on this ic too, it may not need to be replace its a ic that stands up 6 pins the numbeer on it starts with TDA
