When pushing in the start switch the dryer makes a loud buzzing sound like the motor is locked up or maybe the switch is bad..The drum will not turn as well nothing happens except the loud buzzing noise.. Thanks..
Seems the the motor is ****! avoid switching it more further to prevent its motor from burning! motor could be stuck due to rust build-up. or something might have jammed along the motor area or along the rotating part.

" Thanks so much for your help. Now that you'v mentioned it, the buzzing does sound like it's coming from the motor. I'm,now, more comfortable in call " -
If you push the start button and you here a buzzing sound, This sounds like the motor is bad.
Somthing you can try and this might not work. but open the dryer door and turn the drum a littel bit then close the door and try to start it. If it starts running again then you have hit a bad spot on the motor.
If it just still just makes the buzzing noise then the motor is most likley bad.
Remove the belt from the motor and push 'start'. If the motor makes loud noises, squeals, or the shaft has side play in several directions, then it probably is the motor. Replace it. If the the motor runs quietly, then check the drum by hand to see if it is making excessive noise while turning. There should be a little resistance to turning, but not real difficulty. Hope this helps.
I'VE HEARD THIS SONG BEFORE. WHEN PUSHING THE START BUTTON AND GETTING A AAARGH SOUND THIS INDICATES A BAD MOTOR. YOU NEED TO RULE OUT SOMETHING STUCK IN BLOWER. FILTER INSIDE DOOR, FRONT PANEL, TOP FILTER 95% MOTOR, ACCESS THROUGH BACK. HOPE THIS HELPS PLEASE CONTACT ME @ [email protected] AND PLEASE RATE MY RESPONSE.
Sounds like the motor's done. That thing is probably the start-run switch. Not worth trying to fix on an old motor. I've found dryer motors to be fairly generic, you should be able to find a replacement. I use Repairclinic.com when I can't get parts locally.
