According to Canon, your ink cartridge has been installed incorrectly.

7 orange lights represents a bad print head, and the printer will need serviced or replacement. Since printers are so cheap lately, I would just go shopping. Hope this helps! Thanks!

Excuse me my English knowledge,I am foreign country.my Canon this was the problem with my printer.the solution:put an original cartridge into him then what it'll be fun.presumably the mouthpiece short-circuit your apparatus,because you refilled it and this causes the problem.

1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal

Try this:
Most of the time when a printer used for a certain period the ink would dry out and caused an error message. What you do is to replace with a new inks pad inside the printer and reset that error message. Once it is done, your printer will work again!

For Printer Model: Canon S9000, S300, S400, i550, i560, i850, i860, i865, i9100, i9950, PIXMA iP3000:

1. Turn off printer

open control panel
click on printer option go to printer properties
you have to locate an option which says alignment
and there is an option for head cleaner just run these two options and let me know what happened.

the problem lies with the cartridge , the cartridge ciecut is gone,
please clean it & try, if it work -its your good luck, if it does not work then you have to change it.

How many times it flashes?. It flashes in Orange or alternately in Orange/Green. This flashing LED has certain count that indicates the error occurs in the printer. To find out how to identify error indicated by flashing LED, please check here ;under article How to identify error indicator. Please tell me soon after knowing how many times the printer LED flashing.
