Reset chip hp 3050 - HP LaserJet 3050 Printer

I'm not sure what you mean by "reset" and whether you are speaking of ink jet or laser cartridges. From my experience all HP laser cartridges have a small chip (with a little circuitry) that counts down your pages and when it decides your cartridge is out of toner you cannot "reset" that chip, you can only replace it, so like when you refill the cartridge. Some of the HP laser printers let you override these toner level chips (my HP 1518ni does) but in many laser printers you are stuck when the chip counts down to '0' pages. Some printers will run if you remove the chip from the cartridge but from my experience most will not.
Ink jet cartridges are somewhat similar but I gave up on ink jet printers several years ago. I know for some brands (Epson?) you can buy a small tool that somehow resets the cartridge chip (so if you refill cartridges yourself); possibly there is something similar for HP ink jet cartridges.

We cannot reset the chip through printer or system. Now a days chip re-setters are available & memory chips also available in the market, choose better one.

There is no resettable page count on this printer. If you are referring to the counter for the toner level, that is reset by a chip on the cartridge. That chip only works once and if you are using a refilled cartrige that chip should have been replaced. If you refilled it yourself you will need to check on Ebay to find a replacement chip. If you bought a refilled from someone else, take it back and get them to change it. If you bought an OEM HP cartridge and it does not reset the count then call HP as the guarantee their cartridges.

When you refill an HP color laser cartridge you need to replace the SmartChip, as I do not believe that there is any way to reset the chip. Any reputable seller of toner would include the chip with the toner order. The are for sale on Ebay

If your cartridges have a chip on them the chip might need to be reset before the printer will recognise that the cartridge is full, this is how printer manufacturers make sure people buy genuine products, you can get aftermarket kits to reset your chips from places like ebay.

HP toner cartridges for this printer have an embedded chip built into the cartridge that prompts "Low Toner" message locally and will broadcast through its WEB server. Non HP Toner Cartridges or Refilled HP Toner Cartridges will no longer have the chip enabled to generate this message. You can continue to print but the toner level status will not be generated.
Solutions; Purchase new HP Toner cartridge's from reliable source.

The toner reset chip replaces the original HP ID chip and is designed to be used only on refilled HP cartridges.
It is not recommended to force toner cartridges to run on empty, as this can cause damage to both the printer and the toner cartridge.
The reset chips are dedicated to one color only, so that user can not swap toners.
As for actual physical installation, just push the new ID chip in until it clicks into place. The correctly manufactured ones should be a snug fit.
