We have a Hobart SR24H dishwasher that doesnt fill up with enough water. We have plenty of water pressure any suggestions?

Our water is fairly hard so we do have some trouble with buildup but we just descaled everything.

May be the water inlet valve. The screen could be clogged or the valve itself may be bad.

SOURCE: Hobart sr24h dishwasher won't get up to temp.

the water level is low (should cover the bottom of the tank about a 1/4")and the pump is starving - therefor probably not washing very well.

three things to check

1. check braided fill hose for kinks (you will have to pull the machine out if under a counter). run the machine while pulled out if possible to ensure its not kinking when you push it in.

2. pressure reducing valve-prv (if installed) on the incomming water line before the braided hose (probably under a sink). turn the screw on top clockwise to increse pressure.
TURN THE BREAKER OFF TO DO THE FOLLOWING!!
3. flow regulator (if installed) - installed under the bottom pannel at the end of the braided fill hose (about 2" long and silver). turn off water. you can simply remove it, drill out the centre or just remove the rubber peice inside.

inrease the temp by adjusting the thermostat on the right side under the bottom pannel in front of the booster.(dail is hard to see and breaker must be turned off)

remember - the machine must be turned on for several minuets to truly get up to temp.

Hobart sr24h detergent and rinse agent pumps not activating during normal cycling. Have tested pumps with external 120v and they both are operational. Relay?? Timer?? Wiring diagram?

Full parts list here, but from my 52 years in the hospitality trade, Hobart washers need professional diagnosis and repair. Your unit has a 'Chemical Detection Box', but only the engineers will know how or what it detects.

also see page 6, items 17 and 18, and 20 Timer Relays. Part 17 is specific to detergent and rinse, so replace that first.

CTRL+F shows the machine has 7 relays

Hobart SR24H is not filling at all

Check water pressure, check valves, unscrew connection at the unit and check for debris screen that may be clogged. If that does not work then you are looking at troubleshoot the actual valves to see if they have failed or are having a power issue.

I am working on a Hobart SR24H dishwasher. The cycle starts but the fill valves are not energized and no water is being allowed into the system. The hot water booster tank is heating up.

Hello Jim Richards,

I tried to pull down... any meaningful information
from the GARDEN VARIETY part houses...

It appears you can get replacement parts through grainger...

Manualslib.com does indeed show SR24H
a commercial grade unit...
(also SR24C... similar chem clean commercial grade)
Hobart SR24C Instruction Manual Page 4
Hoping to find valves, schematics & perhaps
even PART NUMBERS... (no luck).

Found some parts on the internet...

Parts list (Rev A, August 2009)
http://www.hobart.com.mx/pdf/CatPartes/F43078RevA_Lk.pdf

I don't know if you have tried to "activate" the valves
(power direct to... VALVES not responding = open coil)

Or you are having a control board failure
(test for voltage present)...

If you have power at the valves... and they are merely not responding... Some folks will tell you to clean the
(descale.... decalcify) your VALVES.

I'd say replace them... NOT CHEAP
(but it appears "KITS" might be available)
then play with the old ones at your leisure...
(obviously... if that I indeed your issue)

Grainger.com might help (but not obvious on the net)

I have a hobart commercial dish machine Am14 that the spinners for final rinse are not spinning I have water pressure around 15-20 psi any thoughts?

That water pressure is fairly marginal for a machine without a booster pump.
I'd be looking to cleanout the debris strainer in the water supply: you may have a separate strainer, it may be at the inlet side of the water valve, it may be in the form of a mesh at either end of the fill hose.

If your water is hard, there may be a restriction formed by limescale at the boiler outlet.

Hobart SR24H dishwasher after rinse cycle the same time pampas water in and out of the dishwasher, two pipes are opened and working

Hello.
As per my personal opinion this is normal because for the final rinse you have a small booster or boiler..
When you turn on the machine..it starts fill and also the booster for the final rinse.
You start the machine..wash cycle...rinse cycle..
Now..new water(from rinse booster) is coming on the tank in order to rinse the dishes..on the same time the machine drains the excces water from the rinse(over flowing) and fills up the booster with new water.
Should be like this

Good luck

My sr24h hobart undercounter dishwasher is stuck in a mode where all it does is drain water out. Will not do anything else...???

Hello There; If your unit stuck on the wash cycle and not advance to rinse cycle because the rinse water is not up to 180 degree . You've to check out the booster element and the rinse temp. I hope this will help.

Hobart LX15H indicates E4 and will not fill.

This is what I found in the manual...and on a couple of other sites....

Machine won't fill or won't fill high enough(LX18, LX30 display shows "E0," "E2," "E3," or "E4")

1.Low water pressure — check for clogged hose strainer; check that site water pressure meets minimum flow pressures.
2.Make sure probes are clean.
3.No water pressure — main water supply valves may not be working.
4.Drain valve open - turn machine off to drain machine, then on. Repeat twice (this assists in clearing any drain valve obstructions). Wait for machine to reach READY mode and press WASH. Slowly open door several seconds later and note water level. Close door; 30 seconds later, open door slowly and check that water level is the same as it was. If not, repeat the
OFF-ON procedure.
5. Delime machine.

If this doesn't help let me know and I will get to the bottom of it....good luck and thanks for rating my effort...The Fang.
