Windows 7 home p. service pack 1 I have internet explorer 9 and google chrome both browsers have this problem with sound loss
Some Windows updates released in 2014 were not compatible with Toshiba laptops. Toshiba's website has a discussion about many toshiba laptops with the same problem of sound loss after 15 mins of play.
Things to try.
Check for updated drivers from Windows Update
Check for updated drivers from Toshiba
Check for updated drivers from the sound chip manufacturer (RealTek?)
Buy USB-connected speakers (yuk)
Try to reinstall audio drivers
I d idnt try FreshPCFix .com because I didn,t lose soundfor good .My sound comes and goes I go into sound settings and uninstall speackers and then reinstall .my sound comes back for 10 - 15min.and then its gone i have to keep going back in setting to uninstall and reintall for it to work again,Which is very anoying. also I can,t afford to pay freshpcfix.com to fix i need a free fix.
I need a free fix.

SOURCE: Dell Inspiron E1505 no sound in web browser
Thanks for the response damanpreet_c.
The volume button on the video and of the computer volume control are all to maximum.
I tried watching the same videos on other computers and they work fine.
However, Dell computer which used to play Video X through browsers A,B,C and had sound out now doesn't have any sound out. The same Video X after downloading on the same computer has the sound out. The same Video X without downloading through browsers A,B,C have the sound on other computers. Would this imply that on the Dell computer, the browser has some issues with the sound drivers in playing files?
Thanks again for the response.

Goto CNETdownloads, and DOWNLOAD:
PrcView
CCleaner
HijackThis 2.0.2
Run CCleaner and clean as much you can, Registers Too.
Run PrcView and see how much CPU is consumed by background programs. If it is more than 2 - 5 percent then your PC is infected.
Run HjackThis and get a hard copy of the SCAN.
Do not delete anything. Go to Majorgeeks and ask for help.
