When switch the car it has no power. the about half hour later it gains power
SOURCE: 500/1 and 300/4 jl
Need more info here. did you run power from the 500/1 to the 300/4, or did you run the signal from the 500/1 to the 300/4? Also which amplifier is cutting out for a min...the 500/1, the 300/4, or both? each amp should be wired to a distribution block with 4 awg power wire recommended for each. the amps should also be wired without any capacitor.
SOURCE: i bought a 500/1 jl audio amp and also a w7 10 sub
if its cutting off and right back on then check your ground and your power wire makes sure both are connected good and none of your fuse's are blown, either that or you got a wire hooked up backwards in the sub.. but my guess is that the sub is hooked up wrong... that sub should be hooked up in a series or in parallel,
ok if your running just one speaker, it should be hooked up like this and 2 speakers are a different way...
this is parallel :pos to pos , neg to neg, then one wire coming from pos on sub to pos on amp then neg on sub to neg on amp but bridge the amp on your amp should be 2 pos and 2 neg in two different channels take the pos off the sub into the pos on 1 channel and then the neg from sub to the neg on the other channel,
this is series : on the sub it will go pos to neg then the other neg and pos will go to the amp, but make sure the pos and neg r on different sides of the sub, dont hook them both to the same coil
if your need more help give me your email and ill send you a pic of how to do it...

Ohm load is way off check it and let me know... If you send the wrong ohm load to amp will restrict the output so it sounds low or muzzled

that sounds like a ground problem. make sure that the wire is grounded to your frame, or any other unpainted metal surface. if no unpainted surface is available, get some sandpaper, and 2 gold, copper, or silver washers (in order from best connection to worst) from your local hardware store. find a bolt near the amp, that wont make something fall apart. take the bolt out, and sand the paint off underneath it. make sure to get all the paint and primer off. put the 2 washers on the bolt, and put the ground wire between the washers. then tighten the bolt nice and tight. this will give you the best possible ground connection, without running the ground to the neg of the battery. if this still doesnt work, try running the ground to the neg of the battery. if that doesnt work, then you should have your amp looked at. hope this helps

your subwoofer is wired incorrectly to your amplifier. Figure out which ohm load of subs you have and then what ohm load options your amp is stable at. Next go to either the Crutchfield website. find their learning center. go to subwoofer wiring diagrams. or go to www.the12volt.com and find their section on it
