When charging the red charging light would not go off. Was still red after 24 hours. Did hook up with a Senna unit on that days ride. I figure that is just coincidental but who knows.
I am more familiar with the G4 and G9 models but usually when the charging light will not go out the battery is beginning to fail. I believe I read that these models contain the same battery as the original classic Ipod. They can be found on ebay or Amazon.

Guys, if you roll out a device that can detect the battery if you own a soldering iron it can be easily replaced by a similar or even greater capacity.
