Google "Europicola repairs" (note spelling, only one C!) and you will find lots of videos and other directions for repairing these machines. They are very simple in design and mostly fairly easy to repair.

SOURCE: adding pressure gauge to Pavoni Europiccola

  1. in the boiler water is heated and presured up to 1.5 bar
  2. when water gets in lever and non return valve closes becouse you press the lever down, your energy is used to get high pressure, it should be frpm 7 up to 9 bar.
  3. SOLUTION==if you search way for modifying, you must consider that you must pump directly to group, not to boiler. in this case water will be cold (becouse comes from pump). you will need boiler in boiler to heat the water wich comes from pump before it gets to group. this is bit more complicated than you thought may bee but it is only solution.

SOURCE: First Cup Is Cold From La Pavoni Europiccola

If the machine works great after the first cup then it is possible that the heat for your first espresso went to heating the portafilter or the cup used to brew into, try warming the portafilter first by running some hot water through it first.

SOURCE: My La Pavoni Europiccola

Hi there, i am a domestic espresso machine engineer based in Glasgow and i specialise in La Pavoni machines. If you could get in touch with me at my e-mail address ([email protected]) i will be able to help you but i will require some info from you about what happened. It sounds like a pressure problem or the thermostat has gone allowing the water to over boil and build up too much pressure. Pressurestat is most probable i reckon. If you give me an idea of what happened i will be able to help you. I work alongside the UK's lead supplier of La Pavoni spairs so have all bits in stock. E-mail me or give me a buzz on 0141 425 1083 and i can sort you out.

Plug? lead? water or damp in the base? try slipping the black base off you will need a security bit to get it off or at least mine does its a t bit with a hole in the middle I think, have a look for water that might be shorting it out also try it in another socket , you never know.

Best of luck.

Water leakage through grounds when lever is raised on my La Pavoni Europiccola.

Hi your grind is to course and or your tamp is to loose. Even with the right grind and tamp water will filter down through the puck eventually.

If you check the coil with your ohms meter and get no reading then you might be able to find one from crossroads espresso they are the biggest Pavoni dealer 15413444600.
