The version you created your file is very old and not compatible with the latest version. you need to download the converter first you can get it here "http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en".
This works fine with Office 2003 where in you can open documents with .docx extension or files created using office 2007once installed.
I though doubt if it will work with the version you have mentioned.

It can resolve only in Nokia Care (Nokia Service center) they will install Kannada Language to your phone so please visite Nearest Nokia Service center.
