Disassemble the stapler sufficiently to expose the staple "stick" advancing mechanism and repair it to restore pressure against the stick to advance it.

Hi Rene:
Don't know what materials you're working on, but you need to match the staple length with the thickness of the product being attached and the hardness of the material you're stapling into.
The intent is to attach one product to another. I'd go to a 1/4 inch staple for your application.

Try to take all the staples out then put a small amount of "Two in one oil" as it is very fine oil. Once you have done this wipe off the excess oil if you have a lot spill out wipe with a rag & use the rag to wipe over the underside of one row of staples.
leave overnight & try to use this again with the slightly oiled staples this should remove any oil left then see if this does the trick. (Note I hope you have the correct staples for the machine of course.) Best Wishes Malcolm

Try a shorter staple, also be sure and hold down on the top of the gun to give it no room to kick back. If the material you are stapling into is very hard, it will not be possible to put staples into it.

If they are correct and the gun is OK be sure you are holding it firmly to what you are stapling.

You must have bought the Southern model. We work at a little slower pace here.

Saddle stapling is making a book of pages by stapling the spine at the back of the document to keep many pages together.

Are you sure it has stapling?
Some machine may show it on the control panel but it is an option that may or may not be installed.
Is there a stapler in the sorter?
If it does, then the stapling should come up as a finishing option when making copies.
On your control panel, there will be a Sort, Group and a Sort/Staple option.
Select this feature and it should staple your copies.
If you select this and it doesn't staple then it may be out of staples or the copy is not the correct size or orientation to allow stapling.

First make sure no staple is jammed between the hammer and the anvil or plunger and you might also try to spay with pb blaster or wd 40 and pull yhe trigger several times very rapidly and see if this will free plunger , does work to free sometimes
