Xerox docucolor 2045

My xerox 2045 will not feed any weight of material out of tray three. The front edge stops between the first and second set of drive rollers. I have thoroughly cleaned the rollers and they look in perfect condition. All springs look ok and in place. Be glad of a solution. This is a question for a xerox docucolor engineer....no less

Remove the tray, first look for a piece of paper that has come out of the tray inside the tray area.
Make sure the rolllers are snapped into place. The easiest way to verify that is to remove another tray and compare them.
Look to see if all the switches and actuators are in place.
Make sure you hear the tray up motor running when you close the tray.
Also inspect the paper tray itself for broken items. Compare it to another tray.

In what direction is the mark? Is the defect a dent in the paper, that repeats or is it a crease in the direction of the paper feed? If it is a dent that is repeating, the cause would be the transfix roller. If it is in the direction of paper feed, there may not be much you can do, most of those ceases you can see when held sideways like that come from the rollers edges. Just the normal crease that can be created by the end of the roller.
You can open the covers on the machine and make sure there is no excessive buildup of ink on any of the rollers. It is possible there is to much pressure on one of them, but with certain types of paper, there may not be much you can do. I will research it more and get back with you on that issue.
One thing you can try, (because your marks can be comming from a defective fuser), set the machine to print 4 or 5 pages, then shut it off or unplug the printer in mid run. Carefully look at the jammed pages to and see where in the process the crease is comming from. Take note and let me know please.
The gray haze seems to also indicate a possible fuser issue, but moreso, it sounds like the black housing is over toned. Most likely cause of that is a bad housing or bad developer. The developer in that machine will become worn and need replacing. It will restore the contrast and should resolve background issues.

SOURCE: Xerox 6250 - Jam at Registration Roller

SOURCE: Frequent paper jams on Xerox PE220

You have to spin them backward to get them into a good position to clean them, They will resist you, but just take it slow and clean them with alcohol or formula 409 type cleaner.
But what will often cause jams on that machine is the seperation pad that is located on the paper tray itself. It will get very slick and allow 2 or more pieces of paper to feed, It is a small gray to black pad on the middle front of the tray, about 1/4 inch wide and and inch or so long, If it is smoothe scuff it with some scotch brite then order one or two.
Google a business called "the parts drop" and call Britt, they should have the pads and rollers at a fair price.

SOURCE: How do i reset the second bias transfer roller on a Xerox 3535

I am afraid you will have to call in a qulified xerox technitian to reset the second bais transfer roll. It need to be done via a laptop connected to the m/c. The laptop needs to have a special program which only xerox techs. have in there possetion.

Docucolor-12 10-389 CODE

That is a fuser jam indication.

  1. Clear the Paper Jam and Obstructions in the Machine

  2. Make Sure the Paper is the Correct Size, Type, Weight, and Orientation

  3. Make Sure the Paper Supply Setting Matches the Type of Paper Loaded in the Paper Tray

  4. Load the Paper Trays Correctly

  5. Fan the Paper, Turn the Paper Over and Reload the Tray
If the above are all correct, you may just have a small piece of paper stuck on a sensor. Just has to be a small piece of paper directly on one of those. Also see if a sensor flag is dislodged. A sensor may be bad but not likely
