Voicemail on tracfone

I have a problem with my fairly new tracfome. Everything works on this phone except my voicemail. It keeps saying wrong pass word, the problem I have is I dont have a password to put in so I can hear my voicemails. I do what the manual tells me but it wont go in, no matter what number I put in. I only have 1 code on my phone and is for the phone lock. I bought the cell phone at a store in our town. I have serial number and sim numbers if you need them. I also need to know what is a code entry mode? Do I really need this for my phone? My cell phone number is 256-391-5461 if you need any other info. Thank you for your time. Hope you have a good day!

SOURCE: How do I access my voicemail from another phone?

To call your Voice Mail from a landline phone:
1. Call your TracFone from a landline phone.
2. When your voicemail begins, press the star key on your landline phone immediately.
3. Enter the PIN you use to check your Voice Mail from your TracFone. When you have finished entering your PIN, press the pound key.
4. Listen to the instructions. They will tell you how many voicemail messages you have and give you options for checking them, deleting them, saving them or storing them as new messages. Phones may vary, so listen carefully to the options.

if you havent created a pass code try 9999, if that doesnt work give tracfone a call.

How do I delete voicemail calls?

Call your voicemail (try pressing 1 and call, that's the speed dial for most tracfones) and follow the options. Otherwise, voicemail will auto delete after a certain amount of time (something like 60 or 90 days). You can also call your voicemail from any phone, including landlines.

LG600G tracfone voicemail problems

My recently purchased LG600G (Target $30) immediately started receiving unwanted calls that forced me to figure out voicemail. Well, when I say "immediate", I mean once I struggled through the activation process! Turns out I wasn't pressing, and holding, one of the keys. The first of many firmware issues, read on.

Ironically, the phone is not by default setup to use the keypad for entering responses and I needed to enable DTMF tones. 9 Settings, 5 Call, 7 Send DTMF Tones. (btw, p.62 of the manual lists menu options 9.5.8 which is wrong). Select 1 then set.

I was then able to check my voicemail but my phone still doesn't actually let me hear the DTMF tones. I also have to hold the keys down longer than other phones; it doesn't like flying fingers.

Usually I check voicemail using a land line (or my wife's free work cell!). My local number is not my area code. For AT&T the requested mailbox is the cell number, followed by the 4-digit passcode.

Hope this helps somebody,

How to set up voicemail on i phone

<<This is straight from TracFone support for setting up voicemail on the Motorola C139....enjoy>>
Thank you for your interest in TracFone Wireless. We are responding to
your recent inquiry.

TracFone Wireless would like to take this opportunity to apologize for
any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
Your voicemail box has been reset. To set up and retrieve voicemail from
your TracFone:

Press the MENU key,
Scroll to MESSAGE and press SELECT,
Then scroll to VOICEMAIL and press the MENU key,
Next scroll to VOICEMAIL SETUP and press SELECT,
The VOICEMAIL Access Number should be: +17044089979 and press the OK
key (if there is no + sign, please press and hold the 0 key until it
comes up).
If the numbers there are different, press and hold the key below the
word CLEAR or DELETE until all the numbers disappear from the screen.
Then enter the number 17044089979 and press OK.
After programming the Voicemail Access Number on handset, please turn
the phone off and back on.
Then, press and hold the 1 key to auto-dial the VOICEMAIL box to record
greeting and complete setup.

Your temporary password can be 0000, 1111, 9999, the last 4 digits of
your wireless number, or another 4-digit number easy to remember.
All calls made to your voicemail from your TracFone will deduct airtime
units. To avoid being deducted airtime, it is recommended that you
contact your voicemail from a land line phone, by dialing your ten-digit
mobile number. To retrieve voicemail messages from a landline phone,
please follow the instructions below:

1. From your landline phone, dial your TracFone Number.
2. When you hear the greeting, press the star (*) key. If the star key
does not interrupt the greeting, press the (#) key.
3. Enter your password and follow the retrieval instructions.

Please note, if this procedure does not resolve this issue, we would
need to talk with you directly for further assistance.
Should you have any further questions or concerns, please contact one of
our customer care representatives at 1-800-867-7183. For your
convenience, our representatives are available Monday-Saturday from 8:00
AM to 9:45 PM EST, and on Sunday from 8:00 AM to 6:45 PM EST.

Thank you for being a TracFone Wireless customer. We appreciate your
business.

Sincerely,

TracFone Wireless
