K-cup top getting a half in hole and grounds in the coffee

For some reason the Keurig B70 we now have will a puncture a huge hole in the top and grounds will spill out and get into the coffee cup. Also coffee with spill out from spots other than the exit hole at the bottom and makes a real mess. It doesn't happen with every brew but probably every 4th or 5th cup. Cleaning it doesn't seem to matter. We had an earlier model for a number or years and this never happened.

SOURCE: I received a Special Edition Keurig for Christmas.

I had a similar problem, I solved it by removing the K-Cup holder assembly, and pulling the small bottom piece off (it just pops off easily). From there you can access the "Exit Needle", which is where the coffed comes out and which is prone to getting clogged with grounds. Once you pull that bottom piece off you can run a paper clip or something up through the bottom of the needle and dislodge any clogs. This procedure was listed on page 13 of my manual and worked great!

SOURCE: the keurig platinum brewer spill water from the

well I had this problem: it said NOT READY and would not draw water or heat it. I tried all the typical fixes for this problem. descaling with vinegar, taking out the waer basin and replacing it until it resealed itself, clearing the valves, turning on/off, unplugging, pressing menu rapidly after turing on, etc, etc, etc. I decided against taking it apart as I heard that it's a big pain in the bum. So I JUST BEAT THE LIVING **** OUT OF IT WITH MY FIST until volia it WORKED! ofcourse it died again a few days later. I've had it for two years and the warranty was up. costumer service was no help. So, the next day I went out and bought a new one of the same model, I switched this with the broken one and brought it back to the store saying it did not work. Let them return it to keurig and deal with those SOB's. hahaha hows that for a fix!

My keurig will pump water through when there is no cup but will not pump through when there is a k-cup in it

Run a straightened paperclip thru the two needles that puncture the top and bottom of the k-cup. That should fix it.

Hello, W/D here.

A lot of people have luck with clearing the needles to improve their Keurig's operation. Here's how:

Take an ordinary paper clip, and make it into an "L" with about 1" on the short side. Use the short side to probe up into the puncture needles on the top side of the K-cup, and the dispensing side as well. Frequently, grounds escape the K-cups and get trapped in the needles.

Best regards, --W/D--
Please feel free to rate this solution. Thanks.

Not brewing a full cup

If you keurig makes small cups or insists that you descale even after you have, your problem is that grounds are being forced up into the waterhole that pushes into the K-cup. The solution to both these problems is to keep a safety pin next to your maker and puncture each K-cup just before you put it into the coffee maker. This keeps the pressure of gasses that builds up in K-cups from fresh coffee from forcing grounds into the water hole. It may take a few days of this plus you may want to use the pin to clean out the upper water hole and run a few clean water brews but this will fix the above mentioned problems for good.
