Actually the Syma Brand Boats are designed to not to work out of water. It is a safety feature. You can bypass that if you like. You remove each wire that is soldered to each propeller shaft and twist them together.

Your should exchange the product at the store you bought it from for another one. the problem lies inside the syma. it must have been a defect that the company did not notice.

How is the prop shafts removed for maintenance?

There is no way to safely remove shafts, it's not designed to be maintenanced, it's a toy, not a top quality boat.

Engines might run for a second but very sporatic battery is good it acts like there is a short in the system

The boat has an issue that is for safety only allowing it to work in water, this can cause sputtering. You can try to connect a copper wire between the two copper drive shafts. The range on this boat is not great so that may be part of it.

Where can i find a 2 channel receiver for a 2 motor boat. Right/left and throttle?

Hi DM,

A hobby store, garage sales, craigslist. etc. Another boat.

You need to have the Transmitter and Receiver paired to the same frequency.

You'll find most on either 27MHz or 49MHz. There are also six or so sub frequencies under each you need to worry about.

I can't be more specific than that with the information you supplied.

The motors or example, fuel or electric? Makes a difference.

Best regards
Mike
