SOURCE: locked dvd tray

This player doesn't have the old style release. I called Samsung and there were two fixes: They are both procedures to reset the player. The second one worked for me.
1) Player should be on. Hold down fast forward on the player for 10-15 seconds. See if the player resets. If this doesn't work, try the next solution.
2) Disconnect player from power source. Re-connect, turn on player and hold the "on" button down on the player for 10-15 seconds then open the tray using the button on the player.
The second solution worked for me.

SOURCE: I own a Samsung BD

I had this problem after the Decembe 2010 firmware upgrade. Today I went to the samsung website and downloaded the RUF file for USB. You must also downloand the instructions for installing the upgrade again. It will probably take 2 installs. Now all works great. Problem solved/.

SOURCE: My Samsung BD-P1600 will play

It is not the player you need to reset, it is the rental DVD's. They are encrypted with a code to limit the amount of time they can be watched, thereby protecting them from being stolen or not returned. Send them back to the rental company and rent the same movies again. That is your only solution. Your player will play whatever is put into it. I hope this helps.

Hello, I own a Samsung BD-d5300 bluray player which works fine. Only the tray doesn't open anymore. No eject. Any suggestions? Thanks

Disc loading mechanism fault. might be of a broken loading belt or a broken gear wheel. Contact any service technician. To take out the mechanism from the set is a skilled work indeed. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

Disc stuck in samsung bluray

You can use a paperclip to open the door on the tray even without the unit being powered on. You should see a small hole in the front of the tray or really close to it. You would want to get a paperclip or something of that size and push it into the hole to pop the tray out. You will then be able to get the disc out of the tray.

A side note: You shouldn't have to shove the paperclip in the hole. Try it without a lot of force at first. You should see the tray wiggling or trying to pop out, at that point you might have to press it in a little harder.

Disc tray is "locked" on

I had the same problem and unplugging it doesn't help. I found that if I unplug it AND remove the HDMI plug the system resets itself so that when you plug the system back in, you can open the disc tray.

My samsung bd-c7500 dont play other dvd region than 3..i would like to unlock the dvd region to multi-region..how can i do that?

hi,
try the following

As I live in Kazakhstan my BD-C7500 is locked to DVD region 5. Just use the codes at the end of this tutorial for your own DVD region.

1. Ensure that there is no disk in the tray.

2. Switch the player on.

3. Wait until the main menu page appears and the player stops doing anything.

4. Press the REPEAT button - just above the TV channel selector at the bottom right of the controller - and enter 5 6 7 3 2 on the number pad.

5. The region code "3" should appear at the top left corner of the screen.

6. Quickly enter a "9" to make the player region free. (Just try pressing 9 on the remote controller until you see 9 appear in the upper left corner of your TV screen.)

7. Open and close the disc tray. Power down and power up again.

13. Play a foreign DVD to verify the change.

For people from other parts of the world, all region codes are as follows

1 - 2 9 3 3 4
2 - 5 7 5 3 8
3 - 5 6 7 3 2
4 - 7 6 8 8 4
5 - 5 3 8 1 4
ok

Why does my samsung Blue Ray DVD player load to the menu but wont play the movie

Hello,

Just need to verify if your trying to play a Bluray Disc or regular DVD?

If Bluray Disc:
All you need to do is to check on the FW version of you BD player. Go to Set-up > System > System Information. SW will be the FW version info. Please be informed that the latest FW version is v2.12. If it will not resolved the concern, try to verify if its happening to all of your Bluray Disc.
