Nikon 440 pro staff range finder wont read distance

Having same problem, no range in yds or metres, although the cross hair is there. Installed new battery and still no measurements.

I'm having the same problem. My Nikon Laser440 works sometimes under 20yds., never beyond 20yds. anymore. It shows a full battery and is only 3 yrs. old and lightly used. I'm having the same problem. I replaced the battery TWICE on my Nikon Laser 440 and all it dos is show me the cross hair than instead off giving me the range it shows 3 lines. I can change the meter and yard.

My range finder will only read out to about 125 yards. I have put new batteries in it. It seems to read shorter distances every time I use it. The range finder only shows three lines with no distance when powered up. I changed the battery but got no improvement. I tried the re-set solution but got no change.
